for quite some time I am wondering about the threat that havoc dhs are generating. I finde it interesting that I am almost always in no.2 directly below the tank on fights. Even if I am below other classes in the dmg meter. Especially in trash packs I’m instantly pulling the aggro off on even really strong tanks dps wise. I have the feeling l,without being able to back it up by evidence, that this correlates with the use of immolation aura. It feels like an aggro multiplier.
Anyone else recognized this or has also massive problems with too much threat generation?
I’ve noticed similar a couple of times, I assumed it’s because of our cleave skills. I notice it when using immolation aura and Eye beam so just always put it down to the cleave.
As other classes are cleaving as good or even better I actually consider that the threat generation of immolate is much higher per dps than that of other skills. Which seems not implausible as it was a vengeance spell only originally.
I encountered similar problems on the few runs I do, if the tank is not very efficient I’m always the first to feel it. Sometimes I have to slow down a bit but even like that the aggro is right back at me at times even when I spaced the cleave skills. Thankfully NE can vanish but damn.
