Thunderous Words - Wording

Increases the damage of your bleed effects by 15% at all times

What is the at all times insinuating? That, say for example in PvP, that bleed damage can’t be reduced because they will always do damage at +15% at all times?

It wouldn’t be so confusing if you didn’t remove the context.

Increases the duration of Thunderous Roar’s Bleed effect by 2.0 sec and increases the damage of your bleed effects by 15% at all times.

To me this says that all your bleeds are 15% stronger, whether or not they are caused by Thunderous Roar.

You are basically surmising there is no need for the wording at all times because your interpretation is it still means +15% to bleed effects other than just Thunderous Roar.

It’s unusual to see that in any spell/ability. No other spell says increases shadow damage +15% at all times.

Therefore, it’s perfectly reasonable to assume some sort of different interaction. If however, you with your access to Beta is telling me not, then thank you for confirmation.

Most likely it was there to clarify that even outside your Thunderous Roar window, you´re still benefitting from this talent. Thunderous Roar is a cooldown so if the text didn´t mention “at all times”, it would imply that only during your TR the bleeds are getting a damage boost. Now, with the mention of “at all times”, it means it´s passive bonus alongside with the direct modifier of duration increase to the ability.

In PvP, they´re getting 15% damage modifier boost whenever the ability can hit naturally. Against immunities this bonus doesn´t apply, because the bleed effect can´t hit and therefore the damage can´t be boosted.

There might be new people at Blizzard working and they don´t follow the generic text structures so confusion happens. Usually the simplest solution is the right one.

Aka:
Thunderous Roar’s bleeds get +2 sec.
ALL bleeds do +15% damage, no matter what skill applied them.

Would’ve been simpler put like this:
Increase damage done by bleed effects with 15%.
Increase the duration off bleed effects caused by Thunderous Roar with 2.0 seconds.

Just by deleting the “And” and creating a secondary line you avoid confusion :man_shrugging:

That’s what I thought and was just seeking clarification from a Beta tester to assure that was the case. I agree with you 100% Kiyouraah it could have been worded better. Thank you for that.
