I think thunderstorm useless at this time. Many time when i use it, the enemy stack in pixels and don’T fly away. Many class easily jump back.
They get slow but easily get back next to me
Many times not cancel the cast
When enemy use skill lot of times not work the push
I think need rework this skill
Ideas: Higher push away, change the slow with root for few sec or stun for 1-2sec.
Fixing 100% push execpt dk reflect ect
Thunderstorm itself is very useful and good for example vs R Druids in 2s. When I play with H Pala some R Druids teams tend to go on my mate so they stun me into Cyclone. The fact you can use Thunderstorm in stun gives you time to either interupt cast with it and then Wind Shear cast if they want to still go for it. Thunderstorm is also great interupt if your enemy pops ability like Warlock’s unending resolve. Using Thunderstorm on Rogue forces him to use Shadowstep and if it’s Assa it can’t use shadowstep kick on your healer.
I agree that some specs have to many mobility tools to connect to you again but on the other hand you force them to waste it. Keep in mind that knockbacks also have dr so if priest used Shining Force or Druid used Ursol Vortex it won’t work. It also doesn’t work when enemy dk popped ams or Pillar of Frost. It’s great tool if you use it properly.
In PvE it’s good as mass interupt or for bosses like 1st King’s Rest boss.
I don’t think that we really need Gust of Wind. In my opinion it’s good they removed it. They should lower other specs mobility instead of increasing it all the time.
From a bg player pov, I also think TS needs a rethink. There is the problem as stated that this gap maker doesn’t work well against most melee it’s supposed to work against. There is the problem that many classes have immunities against displacement effects (I’m fine with immunities against damage, but immuning a defensives tastes bad).
But mostly, so many classes have knockbacks these days that on maps where knockbacks matter, adversaries are too often on dr and thus immune to the spell, making it just go pffft.
