Any other shaman finding that this spell IS NOT knocking back pretty often ? i understand there is some classes with knockback immunity and it doesnt work on rooted enemies but this is failing for me alot.

I invested 7 points in Gust of Wind instead.

Don’t quote me on this but it seems it shares a DR with certain things, gotten the impression roots play a part in this

Sorry, gonna quote you on this. Knockbacks have a DR, yes, and the design of that DR is messy, but it’s not related to roots.
I don’t remember myself exactly what triggers it and what is an exception and when, but iirc I think the death and life grips are related to it (although I don’t remember if they trigger it or not).

Anyway, knockbacks got their own DR category, even though it includes more than just literal knockbacks. Roots have their own category, that part I can say for sure.

Although the knockback trap from hunters is known for bugging out sometimes even when there’s nothing that could’ve DRed it.

It shares DR with other “forced movement” abilities. Its a long list, but you can imagine what forced movement means, anything that puts your character (against your will) in a place where your WASD keys didnt want it to be put in.

Kinda sadge because sometimes it immunes by Big Daddy Punch :pensive::pensive:
