It’s just that I don’t really like putting my work into someone else’s hands since undeath metal must be created by a person who already has T3.

Not that it helps you a lot, but I craft it cheap on Ragnaros.

Tbh I paid 30k for Undeath Metal, that’s not expensive at all so requiring someone with full tier to craft something for you it’s not a issue.

This grind + the cost + the fact you need to find someone else with a specific requirement, makes all of it WAY over the top for something as mundane as old armor pieces (whether you like them or not).

I agree.
The grind I could do if there was a set I’d like. I’ve been running Dragon Soul for years to get that Blazing Drake.
The cost is way beyond anything I would spent on, well, anything. I’ve never had 1 million gold in game, let alone 2.8 or whatever. I never bought the Yak with the transmog vendor as 120k still seems like a lot of gold for a mount I’ll never use as a mount…
I don’t know what the specific requirement is but I’m already out so don’t care.

people who’ve already obtained T3 through spending millions of gold, or genuinely earning them back in Vanilla would be understandably upset.

So what? People get upset over any- and everything.
There’s people upset over this insane grind + cost combo. But their feelings don’t count? I hope you see my point.

Oh I definitely got THAT one. I do way too much transmogging not to.
But I never got those 300k ish mounts from BfA for instance; not paying such prices for recolors of mounts I’m not going to use anyway. I got one of the big frog mounts, because I like that model; but I’d never get all the different colours. That’s just not worth it to me, since I’m not a collector. I just want stuff I like the look of.

I don’t get the “people who paid in the past will be upset” argument when they’re throwing TCG items and past promotions around freely and the general consensus is that it’s fine?

I bought 2 bananas from bmah before blizzard gave it free to everyone. It felt bad but not that much honestly because it was like 100k each and usually none care about pets. Same with toys like weather one they gave for free.

T3 were not removed from game, they are available at bmah. Some TCG items were printed in limited numbers and are not available in game. Spectral tiger is not in bmah while technically it should because more people could get it, and it would always go for goldcap so it would be a gold sink. Right now its not a gold sink just people make thousands outside the game in real money. Feldrake also if im correct it wasnt available in bmah.
