Tier or PVP gear in PVP?

Hey guys,

I have the tier set for my ret pala, which is maxed out at veteran 8/8 which is 463 ilvl (I only do raid finder).

The pvp guides tell me I have to get this 4-set bonus in pvp, however this is the mythic set which gives 489, and I only have the 463 ones. The ilvl on the pvp gear is way higher (Hellbloom at 486).

Does the set-bonus outweigh the ilvl increase for the PVP gear?
