Tier sets can appear in all 9 slots

I personally hope this will not go LIVE
cause even now it’s almost impossible to get 252 trinket you want
and imagine all 9 slots being TIER set
first weeks it’s ok cause you need your SET
but later in patch it’s gonna be shi. Show obviously

Why not just put a TIER set into vendor and give us some weekly currency from m+ /pvp/raid
you know like azerite armor?
but this time it will be not RANDOM cause its only 5 pieces.

What’s your timeframe?

Just out of curiosity.

Doesn’t matter the bigger pool of items you make the worse great vault will be to obtain your BIS and i was just talking about 9 slots taken by tier set.
In 9.2 there is 2 more m+ dungeons.

Of course i know that there is no way all 9 slots will be tier set
but if you do only m+
and you do 3 options
There is a big chance you will not get your desired BIS item
and there is chance 2 out of 3 slot will be tier set.

I just hope blizzard know what they are doing with this decision

Translation: Let me buy all my BIS gear with tokens from Great Vault because that will make the game better, for me.

I just hope the vault system gets removed completely in the next patch.

Its basically titanforging, limited to once a week, with a bit more less RNG (due to choose 1 out of x option).

Just a bit more deterministic loot approach to gearing won’t hurt anyone. I stopped doing M+ this season out of frustration as I couldn’t get the Unbound Changeling after 30+ MoTS run.

Instead of creating stuff that that frustrates players or make certain people fall behind due to RNG just… I don’t know, make more stable systems.

It does matter.

There’s a certain statistical probability to getting a particular item, no matter what item.
And there’s the length of the tier itself.
And there’s the time period a player is interested in playing.

That’s sort of the factors a drop-rate should account for (among other; frequency of loot, etc.).

It’s kind of vague what the complaint is, because you seem to assume something for certain that to me is very unknown.

see
and now imagne that the POOL of ITEMS in m+ will be bigger in 9.2
your unbound is gonna be even harder to get
i still don’t have my 252
i’m using 246

I couldn’t get it at all. At least you have it on 246.

Yeah when that got removed and Blizz squelched loot drops, Elitists choked on their glee about pwning Casuals’ gear drops, when they suddenly had the sickening realisation that ‘almost no loot’ applied to them as well.

We get it. you are really annoyed after 30+ MoTS runs, that you still haven’t got the Unbound Changeling…so, everyone else should be made miserable too, because you want company.

Meh, this is firmly first world problems territory.

A 246 changeling is more than good enough, you’ve kind of capped yourself at +15’s on the char you’re talking about. You “want” a 252 one, you don’t “need” it.

And I know we can go down the whole “lol you don’t ‘need’ anything” rabbit hole - I hope you understand what I’m getting at.

Personally, it feels like an ok thing to be at first glance, lots of opportunities for me to get my set instead of going “darn, no chest / shoulders etc” this week.

I don’t even know what you are trying to say here.

Are you trying to say replacing the vault system, removing it or upgrading it into a one that has a more deterministic feature is bad?

If so, how? I don’t get it. Wouldn’t you wanna progress towards your goal by completing stuff instead of repeating an activity for 50 times and rolling the dice?

I’m not saying it’s bad cause i actually like that there is option to get my tier from vault
it’s just frustrating that instead of somehow making vault better
they are increasing pool of items you can get
is my logic wrong?
if there is more possibilities there is less chance you get what you want from it?
and it’s even less chance when you do 3 options instead of 6 or 9
i know i can farm it in DUNGEON specific and upgrade cause i do this since season 1
it’s just boggle my mind why are they doing this.

Snake eyes!

Loot drops back in the day, were RNG too…
:man_shrugging:

Here is what a certain demographic are so salty about…back in the day they were able to join a ‘serious’ progression guild…get into the ‘A’ team for Raiding and simply be gifted gear thru the Master loot system…Losing that is where all the never ending Elite salt stems from…all of a sudden they were not special soldiers, they were just like everyone else.

I sort of disagree, as someone whose main path of gearing on my paladin in M+, my biggest “concern” is how easy or hard it will be to get tier sets through that content.

If tier sets were limited to the tradition 4 slots it would be damn hard to get tier from the vault. 9 slots makes it easier. If making getting tier easier has the consequence that I have to settle for a 246 changeling instead of the 252 one that I desire, I can live with the trade off.

That is true but only if you are doing the 9 slots every week
Then there is this ilvl difference between tier set items
for raiding you need HC/mythic
for pvp you need duelist
i know bonus is important
but MAIN STAT is important too

Me filling 3/3 vault options for m+ all of first season and all of season 2 until last week when I got the Hakkar trinket at max ilvl. That was some horrible rng

Getting specifics is quite difficult. I am also running 246 trinkets.

About the tier. I hope not they are an option for my M+ runs. The tier for holy paladin is not existent. It would lower my chances for good items.

haha slotmachine goes brrrr

When blizzard removed TF nearly everyone except for a small few cheered, casuals and elite alike
When blizzard claimed they nerfed loot drops because that’s the logical response to removing TF, no one agreed and everyone hated it, casuals and elite alike
Why are you trying to make this about casual vs elite when it really is developer vs player?

Because Elitists made the mistake of publicly gloating about the reduction of loot availability, here on the forums (prior to losing their minds, upon the realisation they also faced the same reduction).

Casuals were initially considerate of the Elite’s raging insecurities about not feeling special enough, if Casuals occasionally got a lucky RNG upgrade… or ‘bathing in free loot’ as Elitists’ hyperbole would describe it…since Titan Forging although shiny to get, was not generally a necessity.

As a result, Casuals shrugged and made our contribution to care in the community, by trying to accommodate the endless Elitist mewling and puking. However, it’s starting to get pretty tedious now, with demands to remove the Vault…so, Jog on Elitists.

They will appear in your m+ slots for sure that’s what wowhead is saying
so when you are only playing m+ and doing 3 options every week there is a chance you will have 2 if not 3 options taken by TIER it’s the similar scenario when you full your 3 m+ and then you get 2 belts or 2 different cloaks or rings
and that is a big problem cause yes TIER set is a OP thing
but tier set is not the only thing you need  etc
