So as title says, got a new neck piece today from m+ and tried to add additional sockets, but unsuccessfully. I assume it’s just a bug (among all the other bugs) and I’m not missing anything?
I’m using Tiered Medallion Setting of highest quality (3 little golden diamonds) and my neck only has 1 socket (got 1 socket when looted), so it should work, it worked in season 3.

Sounds like a bug because I could add them to my S4 newly dropped neck.
i had same issue. got a neck drop from bracken m+ with a socket but cant add more with the 3 star or 2 star, says quality to low even with the 3 star. been hearing around but none has a clear answere.

Mine didnt have any socket by its own from the start so perhaps that is why it didnt bugged out.
Same problem here. It already had a socket but I cant add a second or third socket with Tiered Medallion Setting rank 2 or 3
Its a known bug. I submitted a report for this and the failings in adding sockets with the bought cradle at the start of the last season. This is even more annoying when you spend badges to upgrade an item only to find out that it is broken loot.
Since we are in S4, it is highly unlikely Blizzard will devote any time to this.
