Time Estimate for Leveling from 1 to 60 in Classic WoW Era Hardcore: /played vs. Real Time

Hey fellow WoW enthusiasts!

I’m diving into the nostalgic world of Classic WoW Era Hardcore, and I was wondering about your experiences with leveling from 1 to 60. As we all know, this was quite a time-consuming task back in the day, but I’m curious to hear your thoughts on how long it would potentially take in both /played time and real-world time.

  1. How long do you think it will take you, roughly, to level from 1 to 60 in Classic WoW Era Hardcore?

  2. Could you provide an estimate of the total /played time it will take you to achieve level 60 in this challenging mode?

  3. Additionally, how much real time, in days or weeks, will it take for you to reach level 60 in Classic WoW Era Hardcore?

probably after 6 attempts, maybe 10 attempts, I will be able to reach level 40. I’ll buy a mount and never be online again)

Mage 3-4 days /played

Others 5-6 days played

Priest….250 days /played

Priest is one of the best levelers though.

Probably - just very boring (imo of course)

Mage 3-4 days?
MAYBE on a low populated PVE server only AOE spots but no way in hell on a PVP realm and HC.

Priest is also one of the fastest, just after Mage and Hunter

I have power leveled a few mages on HC.

Mage is around 4 days if you AOE grind and have all spots for yourself and also dont die.
= 100 hours played

Other classes are 5-7 days if you know what you are doing and play kind of fast,
=150 hours played

For new players or people who like to stay in town do chill things it can be 8-10 days.
= 200 hours played

All this if you dont die ofc :smiley:

Then again people are getting faster and faster I guess haha.

What % of players do you think will make it to 60 on first character on official HC.

How many weeks do you think will pass before say 10% of player base level 60. Same question for 20%, 30% and 40%?

I spent 50 days /played on classic leveling my protection warrior. Got level 50, I think.

Those /played times for very focussed people. If you want chill, do professions, cook, fish, explore and such at least double time - and if you play character Race/Class you not used to triple at least.
Real time is not to be said as depends. For me 200 hours /played would be atleat half a year real time :wink:

I never use any add ons, not even quest helpers, usually takes me about 14 days. I take my time and read quests for the lore ect.
