If I log in to WoW Classic and browse realms I can see two Russian servers still online. This would indicate to me that Blizzard are still happy to provide game services to paying Russian customers.
Economic sanctions against a country aim to restrict goods and services in order to protect against threats to international peace and security. While WoW players may not directly support the war, sanctions are designed to put pressure on populations who, in turn, should put pressure on their own governments toā¦ you knowā¦ stop killing innocent civilians in other countries.
So again, I donāt understand why I should be buying a pet to support a cause when Blizzard donāt even do it themselves. I think thatās a reasonable comment / discussion to have.
Thatās because not only russians playing in RU servers. Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan and ppl from other countries who sadly not so good in English to play in WoW with comfort.
I think thatās why we still have ru servers
Indeed. Still got plenty of Russians though. Itās very easy to get a WoW sub without providing credit card details, and the Russians are taking full advantage.
Not everyone who plays on RU servers is Russian the Cyrillic alphabet is used by a lot of countries other than Russia including (and wait for your mind to be totally, like, blown here) Ukraine!!
Maybe some people need to spend less time and money of video games and more time and money on educating themselvesā¦
You fundamentally misunderstand, this is paying for aid, not ammunition.
And if you āwonāt take sidesā when one side invades a sovereign country and then indiscriminately murders its civilians - well, you have actually made a choice there havenāt you?
Iām happy to play on EU servers now (ty, Blizz)
But itās still hard to read a stories and lore text in english for me. Iām just sitting and using google translate with my mobile phone camera xD It feels weirdo for me and fun
A friend started playing Warcraft when he spoke no English. His English is really good now but I still always smile at the thought of him picking up quests and randomly completing them by chance.
Your written English on the forums is excellent btw.
if someone donāt want to donate anything - itās their buisness
But itās sad that ppl canāt understand all this horrible situations, when you see the winged missile above your head, or when you hearing those explosions and have no idea where will it fall next time.
I canāt even say about ppl who loosing everything, not only house or material things, but families.
@_@
sry, itās just crazy
Individuals who agitating for stopping this campaign donāt have any weight in this until theyāll themselves live through active warfare in their country.
Individuals who agitating for Russians ābanding up and raiding Putinā donāt have any weight to their word unless they were personally participating in overthrowing of dictatorship in police state.
Most of the local forum denizens are Europeans whose worst stress events in their life were failing exams or seeing a spider on TV
I donāt have real money to spend on games but I farm for it, my hands smell of herbs and the blisters are a result of all the mining and smelting But because I really want to somehow help Ukraine and of course because our resque dog is called Sunny, I will buy the pet, please all who can do it, every support helps those people who got invaded. Thank you
My parents are sure proud of me, what I donāt understand is your attitude to my fair assumption that most of the forum users arenāt exactly war vets and havenāt participating in beheading any country leader, but hey maybe you just donāt like me and want to argue
