Trolls could even be boosted and be eligible to unlock their Heritage Armour.
Only Allied Races need to level normally for their Heritage Armour (which unlocks automatically unlike regular races which need to do a quest line).
Not sure if Remix counts as leveling normally though.

Allied Races don’t need to do a quest. But I would have assumed Remix counts as regular leveling as it is still going 10 - 50.

First, that doesn’t mention regular races quests because mentioning that wouldn’t make sense given that regular races quests have no requeriments. Any character from a regular race is capable to do their race Heritage Armor quest chain no matter if the character was boosted or not.
Second, Allied Races do indeed need to do a quest to unlock the Heritage Armor. It is just one quest that asks you to travel to the place the race start and once completed it grants the armor and the achievement. It is not a big lore quest chain like regular races but it is a quest.
With that in mind this means there you have your answer. You wanted to know it MOP Remix characters are able to unlock Allied Race Heritage Armors. They will.
In fact, people has already unlocked Allied Race heritage armor by reaching level 50 with a Time Running character and then creating a trial character of the same race to complete the alliead race heritage armor quest.
