Every shard has it’s own chat, not to mention the various languages spoken. Just insane costs.

Boosting is trade. You give them a currency they demand (gold) and in return you receive a service in return. I mean one can dislike boosts and how the stuff is being spammed (you can mainly blame the NOVA community for that btw. However they are looked down upon by all other communities anyway) but that trade argument is flawed.
Well the boosters themselves are a bit of a joke anyways. I’m in a gold making community they had the gold for key stone master , turns out you got to be at least 210 ilvl to " boost you" xD so they refused her money.
i turn my trade chat off, and it hasnt be on for couple expacs now. the spam is terrible.
i miss the days where trade chat was for everyday players to post Proffession sales. we cant do that now because its flooded

Rather than ban boosting (which they won’t, can’t and imho shouldn’t)
Maybe they could explore why it has exploded in such a way
Why are do people buy these services? (I did for the first time this expac - though it was a mistake born out of frustration)
I’ve not been around too long (started on Legion release) and I’ve always seen some boosting but in SL it has exploded beyond what is reasonable.

You are right, they did ask that, I just happened to provide a rough costing for 24/7 server coverage. If you wish to cost out how much it would take for a couple of people monitoring each server I will let you do that yourself.

I was going to say the same, try more boosting communities. Ilvl is generally not a requirement.
Step 1 ban the gold token… you should not be able to p2w simple as that.
Step 2 purge all wts groups and perma ban all advertisements even in form of gold. Weve always had boosters but never on this level… theres more wts groups than legit people trying to play the game!
Step 3 pvp boosts… only allow group of set ranks… a 2400 rating should never be allowed to team with anyome under their bracket… it totally skews pvp
Step 4 server wide gold dump… the economy is ruined right now we need a full dump… give 30 days to spend all gold… maybe allow to keep 1million shared across all characters… and with this make gold account bound… all characters use the same pot and 1m is the cap. Theres no need for more than 1m gold… its just allows the behavior we have now… if you have 1m shared across your full account you take gold serious and spend it when needed instead of just dropping millions on boosts…
These 4 steps would remove boosting from the game
It’s not time, it’s actually high time. Boosting is totally out of control, it literally doesn’t make sense anymore.

You have the idea about server watching all wrong.
You can basically make it a reportable offense > employ like 2 guys that can just review the reports, silence, ban offenders.
From the mere fact that people are suddenly getting punished for doing it, you would see the community getting itself in order without even needing people to server watch. The spamming would stop out of fear.
peoples dont use badboy addon to get ride of boost spams in trade chanel ?

I have over 100 phrases added to badboy, yet they keep spamming.
