I have canceled my subs until they take action, you get a ban for swearing but allow aggressor country play on eu servers.
Enjoy your next game.
Aren’t yall tired? I’m sure a little kid from there that’s playing right now has a lot to do with their country’s politics.
Time to browse forum before making another thread about same topic?
Every gamer protest ends when a new 3 minute cinematic gets released.
Not the point mate there making people suffer so why should we play alongside them I know it’s not the majority of Russian people but we need to stick together
So you’ve decided you want to make people suffer too…give your head a wobble.
Blizzard won’t be doing anything like that. They even won’t be forced to do it. SWIFT ban is among the next sanctions on Russia and they simply won’t be able to pay for the game.
Just ban Putins Account or make him one to distract him.
how is that in any way russian wow players’ responsibility? + what has wow got anything to do with irl matters? + why would blizzard cut away money from the “enemy”?
If they get “banned” from SWIFT system then the majority of their playerbase will be unable to pay the subscription fees which is somewhat the same
However I don’t think stuff like this belong to these forums, and there are protestings against this event even in Russia, you can’t blame every single russian player for this.
Grow up!
Edit…oh and can I have your gold?
The implications are larger than that. Isolating Russia economically would lead to Russian servers going down, since Blizzard wouldn’t be able to pay for them to stay up. Regardless of Russian players’ game time, they’ll become unable to access the game if they don’t create an account on EU-English realms ahead of time and secure a way to keep a steady gold income to pay for tokens to get game time that way, because otherwise they’ll be gone from WoW’s ecosystem as soon as the servers goes down due to sanctions, if sanctions will go that far.
the russian people are not to blame… they did not want this there own people were protesting in the streets of moskou but anyone who stands up there gets arrested…
Only putin is to blame…
Yes, we do. We need to stick together with the majority of Russian people who didn’t want this either. They are as much victims of the monster who is running their country as the people of Ukraine.
Another boring, hatefull post…
The world is already mad enough, Covid, Wars and so on.
Can we please have some sanctuary here on Azeroth?
No one is forbiding you to go talk and analise all you want on TV, Radio, Internet, Social Media about the russia/ukraine issue.
Just respect those that want a little peace of mind here.
I wonder if that is too much to ask?
Or ban the people that open such a threads.
I’m tired of seeing another non grow person coming to forum and try to act “bada$$” like hes back in his mid school and try to impress his school mates with funky and troll posts.
I’m sure all of you are up in arms that Poland won’t be playing Russia in the world cup next month (but its not the players fault!)
Or that a Russian ship full of cars was seized in the Channel (poor citizens won’t get their upgrades! - its not their fault!)
I’ve asked friends and we differ from this. Some say the above, which is fair and reasonable. My thought is if your country declares war like this, nothing is off the table. They should be ostracized in every single way. No exceptions.
One thing is for sure, Blizz don’t have the balls or moral compass to take a stance on this. They’ll let it play out until they are forced to make a change via sanctions.
Sure, kid moans to dad. Dad thinks “man, thats the 50th inconvenience this week I’ve had to endure because my leaders a nutter” and posts something to that effect on social media. It resonates with a lot of people and slowly slowly change happens.
I’m not saying wow will make a difference but if you have ten thousand avenues to drip pressure through to the other side, then you use all ten thousand.
Blizz have brain, you obv don’t
Great rebuttal, well thought out and eloquent.
Maybe you should expand on your thought, if you actually had one that is. I don’t expect everyone to agree with me, but you could at least take the time to type more than 5 words.
And if Blizz had the brains, why did they try to take the prize money away from a player that criticized China on a stream, then reverted it later in the face of backlash. Did that show brains or moral compass? Yea, didn’t think so.
Classic trolls, you just can’t get the quality these days.
