now after 8 month of running pretty well i dont know if change the psu
i have a cs550m from 2015 is 80plus gold but i used the pc in this 5 year like 6 hour a day and i dont know if is still optimal
And what components do you have? PSU doesn’t have to be replaced that often if the load is below it throughput.
is around 450w so not even max load but my question was to know if a 5 years old psu 6 hour a day active is still ok
Yes, if it works then it’s fine. PSU is one of the most tested/QA components of computers. Just be sure it’s not getting to dusty, the fan can spin etc.
ok thx i know the last time that i cleared was when i assembled it lol the problem is that i dont have any sort of cleaner and manually the dust does not come off
Anything that has dust ‘caked’ on needs a replacement looked into, in case the efficiency is compromised too heavily; dust filtration for PSU’s is something not to be taken lightly.
