Haha or that xD
I’m a introvert… one of the reasons I socialize over the internet rather than in person…
Wow don’t need too be anti multiplayer roleplay …
Well one theory is that introverts have a higher level of awareness (arousal) and thus more stimulations and interactions tire them out.
As introvert I don’t want less interaction in my gameplay, but I want gameplay that attracts introverts so I can have contact with other introverts so I can have calm and quieter conversations with non awkward silences. Even if you don’t speak you’re still there, ready to be a friend when needed. Like two people in the same room reading their own books.
Or in text, that if you don’t immediately answer it doesn’t mean you HATE the person on sight, or something. It’s kinda funny but extrovert people seem to think they are the funny/great/right ones but they can actually be incredibly annoying and demanding. Are they not important enough for you to answer right away no matter what you are doing in life? You’re such an a-hole for not answering! OMG!!! Pokepokepokepokepokepokepokepokepoke…
That said, there’s something to say for either side and we can definitely learn from each other.
edit: Oh, and I have 100% problems with staying at home, as I’m a “forest and mountains” kind of person. Alone in the bushbush kind of thing. Thank heavens I have an allotment which is basically my “rock” I can crawl under :). cough and play with mud cough
BfA is legit the epitomy of an introvert game .
You can do most things solo without even saying a simple ‘hello’ to anyone if you wish.
Whats this thread about anw
I hate that. The irony is that such behavior from these people will make them end up on my ignore/block list very quickly.
Such obvious bait, but I still wanted to say that being socially awkward to the point where you can’t even play with people online is not the same as being introverted.
Use this time as practice.
I’m an introvert and don’t see anything in NEED of change.
As long as they don’t force me to reach out to others when I don’t feel like it I’m fine.
I find most MMO’s friendly to introverts. Rarely have I felt being forced into something when I didn’t feel like it.
Now before one goes: we are not social at all… that’s not true for the majority. Most of us just like to chose when and with whom we are social with and we don’t need as much interactions to feel ok/fine.
And yeah I know its a bait from the OP, doesn’t mean we can’t discuss about it.
Someone already explained what introverts really need - the time to recharge the batteries. Also having full control over when, and how interaction occurs if at all.
And being introvert is not same as having social anxiety. There are people who can be both - introverts and have said anxiety. But those are not a same thing, really.
I don’t understand why the need to make women into these all powerful characters. They don’t have anything that makes them more special than male characters, in fact they’re prone to go crazy so much easier (Sylvanas, Tyrande) while characters like garrosh didn’t go crazy because he was already crazy when he got to be warchief.
On the topic of the game being more introvert friendly, I like to play the game and complete challenges solo, because then I have no need to rely upon other people, just by my skill I can determine whether the challenge is doable for me or if I should return later after further empowering my character.
Other people make the situation volatile, someone might be new, others might be unskilled, others might be stupid on purpose and generally just create frustration, you need to have a group where the average skill of each player is about the same to have fun, but this just won’t happen with pugs.
I’m an introvert but for some reason I keep starting guilds and communities hehe.
You’re being unfair to Blizzard here because inclusion is inherent in making as much money as possible.
Physical disabilities, sure, do what ever, within reason to accommodate those individuals.
Mental disabilities, like people who have a fear of Orcs?..see where I’m going with this?
In terms of progressing your character, gear wise, I completely agree with you, social interaction is forced
In terms of competition and less stressful things or what ever other mental hang-ups we have, we can just not do those things.
You are misrepresenting introverts.
Introverts love to have someone to talk to, they just don’t depend on physical interaction as much as extroverts.
Introverts aren’t antisocial people. Learn the difference.
Wow is already kinda Introvert friendly for a MMORPG
You’re all wrong about being introvert. Being introvert is connected to good imagination. This good imagination allows introverts to build some sort of “fantasy world” (sounds crazy, but dunno, how to say it better) of thoughs inside their brain. And all things, that happen with introvert, always go through prism of this “fantasy world”. Dunno why, but other people and their actions are seen as some sort of disturbing factor, that makes introverts feel uncomfortable. May be that’s because they’re pulled out of their “shelter” into real world.
It’s good that we have a certified professional here to set us straight. Thank you ![]()
Yeah, because what guys above have talked about - sounds more like some sorts of disorders, that have nothing to do with being introvert.
For example, why estimating and shaming is bad for introvert? Introvert has some sort of “mental projection of virtual I am” in his “fantasy world”. And he can be afraid, that what people think about him can differ from what he thinks about himself. This can break his “fantasy world”.
Even more simple. It’s connected to being stubborn, egoistic and having personal opinion, instead of just being one sheep in a flock. I.e. that “Who cares, what others say?”.
