And bring in crosshair targeting.
That’s right, where your character is facing matters. Aiming for body parts matters on bosses.
Body parts can get broken on big bosses. Aiming for the head on regular enemies can result in critical hits.
Take WoW into a new age gaming. Dumb down spells and abilities, increase the difficulty of mechanics and movement.
No more hard casts. It’s either instant casts or channeled abilities.

Have you ever played this game called World of Warcraft?

This is already in the game, though stripping options from players is never the answer.
Players are already struggling on LFR mechanics and the rotations for most classes especially ranged are 4-5 GCDs. Blizzard has made mechanics far easier with this expansion to improve the rate of pugging.

No amount of achievement score can cure stupidity.

Retail doesn’t really have Classic kind of tab targeting anymore.
If you want “skill based” games where you have to aim literally each and every spell there are quite a few Korean MMORPG’s or MOBA’s that may fit your playstyle or FPSes.

Not gonna happen on a Warcraft 3 engine buddy
Aboustley. I am a visionary.
People struggle with making a step out of a void zone, so now we have this ridiculous “advice” on a downloading screen - “don’t stand in fire”. And you ask for something that would automatically make 2/3 of the players unfit for this game.
Engines are just frameworks for different systems put in an excellent package. The engine we have is noticeably upgraded with every expansion. If you want to create better quality work, that engine will require more tools which increase its functionality and more add-ons for those tools.
If we were still using the Warcraft 3 engine, the game wouldn’t even run because it couldn’t handle the memory load for Dragonflight zones, let alone everything else.
An engine is like any other piece of software. It gets upgraded, it’s maintained, and if you want to overhaul something, you switch it out because it’s modular in design.
The whole point of them being called engines is that they are based on the principle of a real-life engine. If one part is too old, swap it out with something newer.
Many games people love, such as Mass Effect, are custom-tailored versions of commercial engines, meaning the company took one widely available engine and changed it to fit their needs. They did this with Dragon Age Inquisition with the Frostbite engine because it was initially designed for shooters and sports games, so they had to develop the RPG code base along with the tools that would allow them to use said code base.
Blizzard has a team of engine designers, and Ion even states in multiple interviews that dynamic flight was only possible due to their engine team. Developers who can work on engines are also rather specialised and are paid a fortune. Not many people want to work in C++ and OpenGL because it’s powerful but inconvenient and time-consuming compared to higher-level programming, such as languages like Java, which will compile code for you, etc.

How does a boss from an expansion over four years ago relate to combat encounters in Dragonflight?
I’m still wondering how they even died to her since you just nuke her before she could do anything.
It’s a drastic change that would completely change the feel of game. It would not be wow anymore.
No thanks!

Tyra Yazma 25+ sends you her best regards.
p.s. I think in pugs it’s 20+ even.

Oh I thought you were talking about people who were leveling considering it’s still BFA dungeons
She/he definitely wasn’t. Levelling Yazma possesses literally zero threat, but is unforgivable in m+.
Ah yes, the very reason I stopped playing New Worlds.

Yeah, I’m not doing Mythic Plus, I haven’t even paid attention to it since coming back to the game. I’m getting all my characters ready for warbands which means professions and a lot of them. I also need to get a shadow priest through Legion again and BFA to see if there is any unqiue Xalath dialogue along with keeping the gift of Nzoth.
Nice, I might do it later next expansion when I feel my characters are in a good spot but I feel like I would need to either be in a decent community or get a group of people with a consistent schedule in a smallish guild.
