Hey folks,
Curious what others think about this — personally, I really feel like it’s time for Blizzard to remove that knockdown debuff from old dungeon mobs when they’re in combat too long.
I get why it was added back in the day (to stop boosting and all that), but in today’s Classic/MoP Remix environment it just feels outdated and unnecessarily punishing. Pulling big packs and clearing fast is kind of the norm now, especially when you’re farming old dungeons for things like transmog, rare recipes, or just general gold and materials.
What makes it worse: in the MoP Beta, this debuff still affects level 90 characters. And once the hard knockdown hits, you’re basically locked in place — there’s no real way to recover, and from what I’ve seen in testing, the mobs often end up resetting. So instead of making pulls more “challenging,” it just breaks the run completely.
It feels like this mechanic has long outlived its purpose and now just gets in the way of how people actually play the game today.
Would love to hear your thoughts — do you think this should finally be removed, or is there still a reason to keep it?
