Not only is it Blizzard its multiple companies. Even the BBC was sued for giving female workers lower pay and thats meant to be the official Broadcasting Company for the UK. But these issues can be prevented in the future and they definately will. Lets just respect the people at Blizzard who focused on our favourite games and forget the horrible people in the company.
Being forced to participate in a flawed system doesn’t mean it’s hypocritical to criticise that system.
This is exactly the “We Should Improve Society Somewhat” meme.
I don’t have to run around naked or stitch my own clothes together in order to advocate just pay and treatment for workers.
There being no ethical consumption under capitalism doesn’t mean we can’t criticise capitalism, just like using an Android phone doesn’t mean you have to support everything Google does, just like paying a WoW subscription doesn’t mean sexual assault is fine to you.
They are, the capitalistic mode of production is inextricably intertwined with gender inequality: the fate of women is shaped both by gender oppression and by class exploitation. The struggle of women for equal rights goes hand in hand with the struggle of workers.
Was he more suited? Given the statistics about how less likely it is for women to get promoted, should we assume that women are less capable or ambitious than men?
Or that systemic discrimination against women exists?
Of course they’re final goal is to make profit. I’m ok with that. I know you work for profit. But you can make profit AND care about your product. You’re strategy can be “make good product so they sell themself”. At the moment they are on “make product so we can sell ignoring feedback”.
looks at many, many, comments on older Forum threads about equality
I think there is still a great deal of work to be done, before we start patting ourselves on the back…
All i know is the next person i see preaching about equality most likely is the woman abuser, deflecting on male gamers to move spotlight somewhere else.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
So anyone who promotes equality is most likely an abuser…but peeps who say abuse doesn’t happen, or is exaggerated, are not.
That’s next level handwaving and gaslighting… and since you are a Forum regular, there is absolutely no way you have not read some of the blatant excuses and enablement of toxic male behaviour here…
I think a certain demographic are engaging in (faux) outrage, not because they want to see change…but because they are loving the baseball bat to punish Blizz management for their recent equality agenda.
The aim being senior heads rolling, in order to stop the equality agenda, not to promote it…there have been some rather loud champions of ‘old skoolers’ who left the company, some rather abruptly.
That which is obvious isn’t a point worthy of note, this isn’t about hypocrisy, this is about Feint Outrage.
The minority will always feel marginalized by the colour of their skin or their sexuality or their gender or whatever the case may be.
But in reality, in a Capitalistic Society, those with Power will exploit those without, Darwinism.
So it gives the impression that misogyny is running rampant in the workplace, now don’t get me wrong, there are always outliers but for the most part, I don’t think it’s that prevalent.
10 people were interviewed for a managerial position at Blizzard, 7 of them were White and 3 were Black, the person conducting the interview, was also White.
In the end, one of the White guys was hired,…because why?
only you are “mad” i’m still having fun with almost all Blizzard games. Bye
looks at all the topics and videos and news about the investigation

And what’s this got to do with anything?
