5k is absolutely trash imo
Because they nerfed almost all leveling ways that are not related to SL. I would prefer leveling 50-60 through questing with party sync, but quests give almost no xp, same with dungeons.
Yeah I wish all 8 dungeons were queueable at lvl 50. I don’t mind this either because leveling is so fast but having 8 dungeons would be better.
This sounds like a bad joke tbh, I remember leveling alts back in BfA with my partner and it took us like 2-3 dungeons to get a level. Pointless change imo
I hope they’ll revert the change, it always provided a nice alternative to having to do the same end game dungeons over and over.
And not only tw xp. Pvp xp is horrible as well now. Especially with the nerf of the Pvp trinkets… Sigh why is it so bad to be allowed to level through your prefared playstyle?

Leveling from 50-60 in Shadowlands makes BfA look good.
I think in 8.2, those daily assault quests would give you like 1.5 levels, but that got nerfed. Battlegrounds also gave really good XP, but I think that also got nerfed a bit. And now in Shadowlands, we get to grind 4 dungeons over and over again - that’s pretty much the only viable way of leveling up.
Being able to vary your levelling journey is important. Otherwise it just becomes stale.

Not really. I will hace to recheck but I believe it is lower than around 25k xp for winning a BG. Definitely nowhere near the xp you used to get for the win of the day with double pvp trinkets.
It’s worse than that by far, IF you win at level 51 onwards it awards about 20-25% of what a dungeon completion awards you, roughly the same as completing a single bonus objective in the open world for your first win of the day. After that it is slashed in half. I think the exact numbers are 11000 for a first win at 51 and then 5500 thereafter, whereas basic quests at this level award about 7k-9k.
I was going to level a character from 58 to 60 in Bgs for honour hoarding but when it became clear it’d take me a good few more days to do so, changed my mind.
Not saying it needs to be competitive with dungeon spam precisely but levelling in PvP is slowest by far.
Thank you for doing the check. As for whether it should be as competitive as dungeons, it absolutely should. If anything it should be more rewarding than dungeons since victory isn’t always guaranteed in pvp and it takes a lot more skill to win a battleground compared to doing a normal dungeon.
