Hello!
Due to the Timewarped Badge nerfs (for alts - first time dungeon quest now give 200 TB - was 500 & and raid quest now give 300 - was 500), I would like to do a few suggestions about how players can receive this currency without using the “alts spam method”.
Disclaimer: Personally, I don’t enjoy this “alts spam method”. I don’t say it isn’t good, I just find it boring and I think it could be a nice to have an alternative for it.
Before I start, I want to specify that I do not heard this idea before in any circumstances, but this does not mean it wasn’t mention or specify before somewhere else by someone else.
Here is my thought. I think that it would be a good improvement to the game lore, especially for old zones, if you could chose a number of zone that could be turn into timewalking zones. For example, during Wrath of the Lich King Timewalking Event, a certain number of zones (depends of the current timewalking event that is taking place) could be redone. You can redone quests, unlock flight paths, explore the zones, discover secrets about lore (that would be a new thing) and so. I think you got the point.
Because of you doing all of these, you can earn Timewarped Badge, up to 500/zone (I don’t know an exact number, but because of the new added items, I think it would be decent).
It would be cool if a new achievements tabs will be added for this, new titles, new cosmetics, new mounts, new toys and so.
I think is a shame that World of Warcraft has such amazing lore and it would be nice to redo few of those amazing events, but on your main character.
Moreover, all those zones feel so empty. There is such a big world out there, but it feels like the old zones are forgotten. I think this new feature will help that. If not, I don’t think players would be bothered by a few new collectibles and way of farming TB. It would be a nice little improvement for the timewalking event because right now is only focusing on spam dungeons and doing one raid.
And now because of Classic gets his own timewalking event, I think it would be amazing if you can redo few old zones which such amazing stories.
Also, it would be nice if we could chose our zones, not force a specific one. The way that this could works is similar to the “legion mission table”, but without “missions” or followers or anything else. Just click on the table and chose a X number of zones, do it for the first time or redo them because they were great.
Now, of course, the zones should scale with our level and you can even earn some good gear from them, similar with the dungeons one.
And this is it. Personally, I think this feature will add some content to the game and will give players new activities to do, new things to collect and engaging with the lore. And it could be a nice tribute those amazing old zones that are now very forgotten.
