Like the title says.
Timewalking dungeons with m+ mechanics.
What says you?
I say we already got that.
3 dungeons to be specific:
- ToP, Workshop, Motherlode.
And for the past 6 seasons we have had that.
They tried that in the past with Legion dungeons (was in SL S2 iirc) and weâre really hard due to tunning. I think it wasnât popular either so thatâs that.
Can we pls stop adding timers to ervery thing we have in the game?
Thats good too.Revive old dungeons give em mechanics but remove timer.
They tried it when they added legion TW, it didnât really work, and they started incorporating old dungeons into the m+ rotation instead.
Iâd rather just expand the M+ dungeon pool rather than it be saved for timewalking.
For me - Iâd love a M+ Magister Terrace and Forge of Souls/Halls of Reflection.
If you want m+ mechanics play m+ dungeons.
Youâre going to get pro wannabe players complaining that their BiS is 3 months away after missing the last TW and itâs only a week, would TW appear in the Vault for a mythic track? Etc.
I dont think tw is a fitting format for m+. You need to keep running the same dungeons to learn them and a 1 week event wouldnât give you the time and chance to properly learn.
We already had it during Legion Tw, but ofc once blizzard saw ppl are going to play old dungeons as well, they had to do away with the entire system that gave you a choice between the current dungeons and the tw dungeons so they can continue to release expansions with as few dungeons as possible.
God forbid we donât repeat the same dungeons for 6 months.
Ref:
It was a lame excuse back then as well.
The loot issue is easily fixed by making the m+ version drop from a different loot table (Like CoS m+ tw â Rookery during S2).
Especially if the current seasonal approach stays for the normal keys, I cant see a single issue with it.
if I remember correctly but I think SL had tw m+. Why did they stop? I remember legion m+ tw quest
Because: ![]()
I found it really fun, although it was my first expansion playing but I remember watching dungeon guide few times and then successfully doing the dungeon. Nice challenge. It would be fun to have content without score that we can do for fun instead of showing off
Yeah I also liked it.
Sometimes I had enough of the SL dungeons then I ran the TW key instead.
It was also quite nice it had an entirely different affix set, so if the SL key was tyrannical, the TW key would be fortified. Not to mention the seasonal affix being different as well.
It was refreshing to break out of the seasonal rotation for a while.
One can only imagine if they had extended this to the other TW events as well, instead of axing it in DF so they can release CoS as a DF season 1 dungeon, right after it was farmed to death in SL S2-S4.
Right now, TW events are largely useless to me and to most of the players as well I have met yet (this I mean ingame).
It was useful during S1 when hero gear was hard to get, because TW raids would have a free hero gear quest, but thats all about it.
It was fun for me because Legion TW M+ had own seasonal affix.
However, there was the problem with loot balance. Probably, it was even mentioned in one of the interviews with devs (donât have link to prove).
Such type of content require people to play it. However, nowadays, most people will play only in case of useful loot. There were some overtuned trinkets (in Vault of Wardens and probably in Black Rook Hold). However, one week is not long enough for all players to get them.
I still have phantom pains after running more than 50 Vault of Wardens during Legion timewalking.
PS: however, I donât get the reason why we need to have limited pool of dungeons for different timewalking weeks, just add all the dungeons from the corresponding addon.
