First time I did a timewalking leveling.
The Legion Timeline. Was fun, but I reached lvl60 before I did most of the content.
At 60 I got a letter in my inventory saying that by clicking it i would go back to normal time.
Did not want to do that but i found out that by zoning out I automatically left timewalking. All the mobs were lvl 45.
It’s a pity.
I returned to WoW Nov last year after a very long break. I had the same thought as you but I now have a few months additional knowledge so let me share with you.
There are no plans to alter timewalking. Blizz wants you to complete the last 10 levels before you hit max to take place in the latest expansion.
Same here, I returned this year January after ten years. One of the things I wanted to do were the expansions I missed.
Guess on a next toon I will have to stop gaining xp.
Had the same experience when I first did it as well. Later I learned that you can pause experience points, but I would prefer a slower leveling experience or a different scaling system, because I want to finish that expansion lore while feeling some sense of progression before moving on.
Which is why I’m super happy about the upcoming WoW Remix - here’s to hoping they do that for every expansion!
