I’ve been keen on doing the Timewalking raids these last few months with my guild. I got a full group for Black Temple a month or two ago and the run was pretty smooth with a few wipes on the Soul-boss, Gurthogg and Illidan but overall it went well. Then two/three weeks ago, we did Ulduar. Ulduar was weird because some bosses were EXTREMELY easy: Yogg-Saron, Flame Leviathan. And then some bosses were WAY more difficult: Kologarn always grabbed 3 people in the raid which made it impossible for a 10 man guild group. So we had to find random people online to make the fights easier. We cleared the raid eventually.
Then today we started Firelands. We spent about 2 hours wiping on Beth’tilac and killed her afterwards. Granted, we had some people in the raid that didn’t have all the Azerite traits and Corrupted Gear from BFA. Lord Rhyolith did just not turn whatsoever and we had a case of Shannox’s dogs just walking over traps without activating them.
I’m just curious how other people experienced these Timewalking raids and if you ran into similar problems.
Also, I was curious how Blizzard thought about Timewalking Raids. I don’t mind raids being hard, but if they are only up for a week, what is then the intention of these Timewalking Raids. Also does Blizz expect people to be full geared for the situation (corrupted effects and azerite gear) since people lvl 85+ can join it? Does ilvl make a difference in these?
