Timewalking - what if?

Completely disagree.

I didn’t put any real effort into the game to get mage tower appearances? I simply played the game normally as if they didn’t even exist. Then in 7.3 when I was like 940ilvl, I one shot them.

Why should somebody else not be able to get them, solely because they didn’t play at the same time that I did? That’s nonsensical.

As for challenge modes, I think it was 100k I payed to be boosted through those. Again, no real effort on my behalf.

Why paye when the forums in MoP and WoD made groups to help people get golds for free …

Didn’t even think to try that back then. Getting gold in WoD was effortless with garrisons, it was like an idle game that you checked every day lol, so I just chose to pay for it.

Big agree and oh yes please!! TW would be so much better if we had the full set of dungeons from that expansion available.

If its all hard enough and takes plenty of time to grind, then i guess the players that wont keep playing the game ever will get it anyway, and people that just dont wanna make the grinds ofc.
Also this is just an idea, for the sake they could be even harder to get, as long as everything is obtainable.

Is it not fair for both new and returning players to get it, over time? I mean, it is us who keeps supporting the game, and the game really gotta offer a carrot like this.

Mage tower may be the worst time gated stuff to miss for druids, if they dont bring the mage tower back, they really should bring back the forms, one way or another.

You have like 20 form for cat and bear so less 5 will not make diference for new players.

Was there ever a reason given why this isn’t the case?

But nothing as unique as the hulkbear, it takes the bear form to a whole new level.

I’ve never seen any comment about it tbh.

If everyone had it would lost the value and be less unique.
Imagine if everyone had the spectral tiger.

If it’s too easy you will not of earned it and people will complain you didn’t earn it (and rightfully so). If it’s too hard (like it originally was) it will just give boosters more gold income and people will complain about the boosting.

Old unobtainable rewards should remain that way.

Well everyone with enough money can have the spectral tiger.

The balance of power transmogs is quite rare, atleast i dont see much with these, and it only take a few weeks to complete - So if this would be way harder, take way longer time, then i really think it will stay exclusive.

Maybe blizzard should just make it legal to buy and sell accounts, then people could literally buy whatever they desire in the game???

I just personally think, it would be more fun the earn through timewalking.

Spectral tiger have a limited suply.
So not everyone can get it, even if people had tons of money they would end.

Obviously no cause people would scam eachothers and blizzard just want her image out of that.

Lets just agree to disagree on this

We will never agree :cat:
Cause I will always be against giving druid forms to new people.

It does not. They should just bring back the raid and have people clear the raid for rewards as we did with all other classic raids.

No. if you are against MoP CM gear to be brought back then I’m against mage tower skin to be brought back. Either they bring all back or nothing should be brought back.

But CMs in MOP and WOD were the same throughout the expansion. The ilvl of your gear was scaled down to heroic ilvl gear (463 in MOP iirc and 620 in WOD iirc). Sure trinkets and BIS made a difference, but mostly it was the players skill that was present.

Mage tower on the other hand, was really tightly tuned and harsh when it came out, for maybe 2 months, when we started attempting it with 900ish ilvl. Everything around 890 ish ilvl was godmode if you completed it. I remember wiping Kruul and Xylem on my DH around 70 times each with 905 ilvl, and I consider myself very skilled. I also completed Agatha on my 910 fire mage, and I still took more than 80 attempts on my 899 fury warrior at that time.

Fast forward a year later, I went in there with speccs I never even played (Unholy, feral, disc priest, MM hunter, frost mage, arcane mage) and I oneshot every single encounter with 940 - 950 ilvl.

In my eyes, you can’t compare these 2 since one was actuall 100% skill based, and the other came trivialized with gear, and that’s the reason why one would be ok, and 1 wouldn’t be.

Well it does. On another note, there is something to discuss. They brought the raid back in WOTLK, and alot of original Naxx weapons came back. Sure some were reskinned abit, but the major ones (Demise, Slayer of the lifeless) and the ones that actually don’t look like crap, came back. Surprised they didn’t bring it back in some other coloration. On the other hand, you have every paladin running around with it, so it’s all good in their eyes I suppose.

Ignoring the fact that you could simply buy a boost, I see.
How covenient. :relaxed:

What’s your point? The reason why they removed the old version of Naxxramas was because, and I quote the lead developer at the time: “Naxxramas can not be in two places at once.”

Fast-forward several expansions and we suddenly have many things in many places at once, the most common offender being Dalaran which is at… what… three or four places all at once?

This means that their original reason for removing old naxxramas is absolutely void now, and they might as well bring it back.

They never removed the raid with the intent to make the items rare. That was an unintended consequence.

The same goes for any other removed raid or dungeon, by the way. These pieces of content are only gone because they’ve been re-used to fill a content hole that was created because they scrapped initially planned content. To fill that hole, they took an old raid and revamped it.

Point being: There’s absolutely 0 reason to NOT bring back these old raids in the way they were intended to be: As regular raids. That includes all of their loot.
