I have been playing since BFA and have yet to get past the 40k gold mark. I fish constantly, gather my herbs, but nothing ever sells for nearly enough to get anywhere close to my goal! How am I meant to earn enough gold for it, let alone the caravan brutosaur?

You can easily make 15+k from just doing gold WQs and weekly/rep caches, 25+k from crafting max ranked stuff with cheap mats using concentration…
That’s 40+k per week per character.
I would echo Beerwolf. If you have the current expansion, running wqs and weekly caches will net you a minimum of 10k a week. I have a mage I have only levelled from 70-80 doing wqs, I spent all her gold buying profession gear and she has over 20k just from that.
Do the gold wqs, sell things you don’t need on the auction house, avoid spending gold on stuff and you should get the yak in a month without playing much or really trying.
if you like gambling - go farm boes in the raid and then u might sell one for a huge amount of gold xD

That’s kind of how my sister got the Yak. I got a 190 ilevel shield in SL S1 and sold it on the AH for ~100k then I gave her the gold.
- Swipe the card
- Look up farming Lamented Crusader’s pieces from Naxxramas
Buy a WoW token. Last I checked it sold for 335k
- Log your main and do the weekly quests to get your caches (theater troupe, nerubian stuff, arathi light thingies, machine maintenance, goblin weekly, dornagal weeklies). Each cache comes with 1,5k-3k gold
- Do any gold world quests
- Log out
- Repeat with any alts that you can
- If you run out of alts, level more alts
- Repeat as long as you want to farm gold
Generally if you want to just play the game and print gold, this is pretty effective without getting into professions/boosting. You will be able to get close to 10-15k per week per character.
