For me, Rexxar is the final boss. The only way I see to kill him is full on burst with Time Warp since with only Prismatic Barrier as ‘healing’, I just don’t have enough health(477k) to survive the full fight. My DPS ranges from 70k with all the buffs to 45k at normal, but that’s only enough to burst him at 2 masks. How do you deal with him on higher difficulties?

The well fed buff from Ghastly Goulash which heals you for 2% hp/second whilst in horrific visions.
Or you could look into getting the Quick Thinking azerite trait which heals for like 10k+ per trait when you use an instant cast damage spell (spam explosion to heal up).
But it all seriousness, you’re better off just swapping to Fire for Rexxar and brute-forcing it. It’s literally not designed to be done by a Mage without getting a Gift of the Titans proc, we simply don’t have the tools to deal with the mechanics.
I switch to fire for it, dragon’s breath is a aoe interupt on the boars and you can even ice block after combust and ignite will kill him.
If you really want to do it as arcane I agree with the other posts, health food and quick thinking. I ran 3x quick thinking as arcane as the range tank in crucible and did more hps than the dk tank, its very strong. Supernova might be handy as an aoe interupt too.
The boars spawn at specific health percentages. If you play the fight slowly you can deal with the boars one at a time, and when he finally spawns the last two at once, he’s already at 50% and can be bursted down
We haven’t really got the interupts for that I’m afraid.
CS 1, supernova end of cast on the 2nd one (If you ST it you should be able to kill it before theres a 2nd cast), then prep cds and nuke, ignoring the double spawn completely.
or yes, have a lucid fire spec set up and kill him in approximately 12 seconds start to finish.
Survivability issues are solved by Goulash.
I made it 2 Times today on 5 masks, first 3 Times busted, i have to tell u that i burned him down in few sec with prepot timewarp and full single target build. I made visions in aoe build before but its way easier go full single. Try out and gg
Pretty much this, it’s much more effective overall regardless of class to build for efficient 2-3 target / straight single target than to go all aoe.
