Tips for someone starting at this stage?

Just started leveling in anticipation for MOP. Not expecting to be able to catch up fully, but if I wanted to partake in some PvP/maybe some raids, will it be incredibly difficult at this stage?

Thanks in advance!

i have a char with 4 days played @ 85 who is atm resting at 390 ilvl, full pve gear (and 4set) without doing a single protocol dungeon. i don’t pay much attention to the chat but i think that gets me through the door if i wanted to raid :stuck_out_tongue:
when you are 353+ you should start daily specific Q’ing the three new dungeons (End time, well of eternity, hour of twilight), you get some guaranteed 378 pieces from the quests, you get the fragments, 390 trinkets/weapons and tier pieces at the last bosses depending on your luck, then you have 397 boe pieces that you can buy for 3k, you have other 378 boe pieces from dungeons, 378 boe’s from justice vendor, you should buy all the boe pieces you can before doing the specific queue thing tho, end times has a soft damage check, if you are the weakest link you’re out
(obviously the most efficient way to gear up for pve are the protocol dungeons, just saying you can skip them entirely)

pvp should take even less time if you are alliance, again you can buy an almost full set of 378 boe pvp gear (do it for your sake, playing with no resilience is torture)

Thanks a lot - really helpful.

If you consider rated arena/battlegrounds, play on firemaw alliance or gehennas horde. Cata doesnt have a dedicated crossrealm arena lfg tool, so you might have trouble finding mates on other realms.
