I have level 58 boosted char ready to start from Outlands. Any tips how to pick up with leveling. Should I start with professions first , get them to 300 and than start with leveling?
Or just do leveling up to 80 and than do professions. But I guess I will struggle with gold for flying mount.
Professions generally don’t make money anyway unless you go dual gathering, so either option works.
There’s some decent money to be made from mostly classic gathered stuff (cause it’s boring as heck to get), but once you hit outland levels and such even gathering doesn’t make you that much.
Just start leveling and hit 80. You don’t need flying to finish Outland and in Northrend you can always use welfare mount.
I have lvl 70 boosted druid for heroic Wrath edition. Took me 4 days to level up professions to 450 both herbalism and mining, around 5h per day. I tried to do 300 on lvl 44 paladin on second account and desided not to untill finishing leveling. Mobs do punish hard when you are around of their level and try to break through em to recources.
There is absolutely no reason to level professions before 80 other than some sense of nostalgia or RP. It is easier, faster and possibly even cheaper to just do it at 80 with auctioned mats and in case of gathering with gray mobs that ignore you.
Making gold is obviously also much easier at max from (daily) quests.
Which professions are you going for?
If it’s any gathering ones then get to the middle or end of TBC before levelling them.

Since I plan to go with Alchemy/Herbalisam I think they will be easy to level up later.
Hmmm, it would only be cheaper if you value the time you spent in the game by amount of gold earned, but then most ingame activities (aside from farming/auctioning/crafting/GDKPing for gold) would be considered a waste of time.
I think the decision should be taken based on what a given player enjoys.
Absolutely, everyone should do what they enjoy. I also levelled my Enchanting and Tailoring alongside this char in 2019, back when it was basically a crazy thing to do, it delayed my mount to lvl 46, since I DE’d everything I didn’t wear and used the mats to level Ench. But I did it for RP reasons on an RP realm. It is objectively speaking a silly thing to do, just hit max level, gather 2-3k gold and get your profs near max in 1h of gameplay.
Choose professions now and gather and craft as you do your other activities but do not go out of your way to level up the professions before max level.
As a level 58 boosty, you kinda have to go out of your way to get any levels before max or you don’t get any at all
