They are or otherwise you wouldn’t get to the level of the overall gear if they wouldn’t be which other types of raiders can’t without farming high level of the mythic + content.
And even without titanforging/warforging we would have the RNG like we had in the past, and if we got the bad day we would got the same item or worser in the stats than we had before. I’m doing heroic raids and often for me happens that I get the items which are worser than the one I got from the mythic + or the things that I don’t need, but I look on the gear as an tool to do the content with and not as something about what my fun in the game is supposed to be centered around.
Before introduction of the mythic + and in the time when we had tiers when we would max our gear we wouldn’t have anything to get from the game when it comes to gear rewards to until the new content got introduced.
You don’t want to see the point I’m making because I have a high ilvl. Previously before there was TF/WF I would often get upgrades from doing higher content. Now thanks to TF/WF I don’t. I kill a boss and offer it out to the rest of the raid and often end up disenchanting it. Although now Azerite can be scrapped for TR.
Guess what, the same thing happens to me while doing the heroic raids with my guild as I stated above but I can live with that, that’s not something which will make or break the game for me. Nor will that mean how because of that I’m gonna have less fun with the content I do in the game.
Well, you go and find me that one guy who has ALL LFR/Normal/Heroic items that TFd and boosted him to mythic level. You progress mythic because of the kill, not just loot, if you are in a serious mythic raiding guild and raid just cause of gear, then you are raiding for the wrong reasons. Sure sometimes you get jealous when you see someone getting 395 in normal, but thats like really rare and almost never happens.
Well as someone that right now have 9 alt’s and all of them are at 370 ilvl i kinda dislike this tf/wf model ( 5 of alt’s right now have same weapon and even better weapon than my main )
I prefer something like Mop… upgrade system…kill some bosses earn some point and upgrade a bit a piece of gear…
Right now is either tf/wf or nothing it’s getting majority of people bored at some point …
Have tf/wf model …lower the ilvl proc and put the system that mop had…=win…
Instead of talking smack about TF why aren’t you all asking for Blizz to improve your reward in M+ runs. What you are doing does not help but actually damages the over all game. The glass for a world of Warcraft is half full and instead of filling it more you are emptying it out. As a result instead of buffing characters Blizz nerfs them.
No wonder the overall game experience is negative. Think about this…
Let’s say you have a Ferrari and your dad is driving a Mustang. Instead of him selling his Mustang and getting an upgrade, he goes to your house and sells your Ferrari and buys you a BMW and throws the rest of the money away.
How would you feel?
All I hear and read is remove this, remove that. How about leave it the way it is and improve where it is broken?
And yet another post whining about titanforging and warforging. For the last time, not everyone does high level raids or dungeons. Not everyone pvps. Players should have a chance to get some higher level gear somehow. It does not decrease participation in my opinion.
If someone wants to play WOW they will play the game regardless if these elements are in the game. If titanforging and warforging were the blame for a decrease in participation then people would have left a long time ago.
I think the real issue here is the lack of gear specification. For example, I just completed the 7th Legion emissary quest. I got a nice 370 shield as a reward. Should I be happy? No I am not, as I am a fury warrior and I cannot use the shield. I would love to see a return to gear dropping automatically to our particular spec, not just to our race in the game.
Titanforging/warforging and raider io are two separate things. First a person has a right to invite who they want to their raid and/or dungeon groups. They can use raider io or they can simply go to the armory website and look at your gear stats or look at your raid and dungeon progress.
If you do not like this system, then make your own group and invite people that you want into it. I do not have a problem with raider io but I also know my own limitations in terms of mythics. I mostly do these on my horde main and I only do keys that are 1 or 2 levels above what I feel I can do. People complaining about this system think they are gods gift to WOW in terms of game play and want to jump in and do level 10 plus keys.
I say learn the mechanics of the raid or dungeon, know your limitations, and actually start off at the bottom first. As for your gameplay are you using flasks and buffs? Are you using enchantments? What about your rotation? There are ways to boost your dps and a person may not necessarily know about these things, even if they are higher geared.
In my horde guild, we have a few players who had no idea about enchantments, buffs, or flasks they could use to boost their dps and we are teaching them how to become better mythic players.
TF makes gear boring. Nothing is special or shiny anymore.

Ilvl stopped being an indication of skill level, but more an indication of luck. So things like raider io/warcarftlogs have really come into their own.
Warforging & Titanforging only moved the goalposts for BiS gear… aside from Azerite Armour pieces, BiS is now the highest possible Titanforged variant of the item you want, that has a Socket & the optimal tertiary stat. - not the base level item.
It just adapted the BiS chase to make BiS as elusive as it should - and always has - been.
Looking at your account I can clearly see why you don’t know that min-maxers used the sims to sim their gear even before the titanforged system got into the game.
