Titanforging; Last effort

Titan forging and wellfare epics need to stop so i stop getting HC geared players pulling LFR dps.

Why?

You have the same chance as everyone else to get high ilvl items from the appropriate sources. Why do you think its good that there are additional ways to obtain high ilvl gear based on pure luck?

People argue that raiders should play for the joy of the content, which is fine. But on the other hand, you say that everyone should be able to obtain high ilvl items even though some of you don’t raid, PvP nor pushes keys.

Why do you need gear then? We should be happy doing M raiding for the same reward as the World Boss while you want high ilvl gear for WQs and pet battles?

If you don’t do challenging content you don’t need quality gear and you shouldn’t have quality gear.

All this tells me is that Blizzard were terrible developers in the past, in addition to presently.

From your comment it can be seen how you don’t have any experience whatsoever with competitive MMOS.

You can… but you have to factor in the reality that a base-level set will always be BiS - for now; whether it’s because BiS is never static or that you set your sights lower than Mythic.

Interesting since I don’t need third party software to tell me to upgrade my gear in FFXIV. I did use EFT for the last 10 years in EVE Online, due to the nature finite fitting restriction and cost/benefit considerations, although CCP have now implemented such a system in game, and even that does now not require going out of game.

Perhaps you are right and the vagaries of this particular cartoon casino MMO are beyond me though.

Aiming to get everything “bis” at 395 is just pointless, it’s probably as likely as winning the lottery. So you have to sim to see what is better. Sometimes that non bis 395 item is better and other times that 395 item might as well be 340 because it’s worthless.

Maybe you haven’t used it but other more competitive players obviously sim stuff in FF MMO.

Siming and min-maxing were things since Everquest.

Be cool and party.

I’m getting better gear in the invasions and warfronts, even the tortallian 370 chest then I do in HC (well stopped doing that once I had the achievement for the set) or mythic raiding at this point. This resulted in me not bothering doing alts raids anymore aswell, why bother when the good gear is outside HC/mythic pugs…

This char of mine is 370 in bags! I barely spent time on it! I only use stuff like lower Il ring, lower IL waist and not my 385 legs etc. because of stats and the head and chest azerite armor because of the trait (which is OP for survival so gotta get lucky with emissaries).

Don’t know what more there is to compare than to someone that done nothing. I played until mid October, then never logged into the game again till now, but titanforging in the one month of content I played put me at an itemlevel that shouldn’t have been possible.

You have relatively high gear ( still not of the level of mythic raider ) from doing competitive PvP and farming high level mythic dungeons like 10 + and not because of titanforging. Blizzard should reconsider in the future their policy regarding the m+ content and scale it better with the raids and the gear dropping from them.

If you pick your players purely based on gear and ilvl then more fool you tbh.

BiS always alludes/aspires to the best gear you can get for the content you run; in Mythic Uldir, that will be full 385.

Most of what my DK has is BiS for the content he does.

Nope. I play more and I don’t agree.
I agree there’s SOME problems with it, but overal its a wonderful system imo.

So, is it fair that if I don’t like certain content my progress stops?
Is it fair that by far the largest part of endgame content is made exclusively for only a % of the playerbase?
Is it fair that Blizzard, at the start of this expansion, put a MAIN STORYLINE behind a mythic dungeon?

You deserve ANYTHING you get. Doesn’t matter if it’s earned by grinding, by doing hard content or simply by luck. You deserve it.

These things are NOT a thing. And have never BEEN a thing.
When I did Onyxia in vanilla and was first on the DPS list and yet some upgrade went to a person who died on whelps, how is that any different? This kind of thing has been happening since forever. There has NEVER been a reward for contribution equality. Only for contribution. No matter how small.

Reward IS usually progress in this game. Cosmetic rewards not withstanding.
So keeping progress from people because they simply don’t enjoy certain content is not a good business plan. It alienates those players and drives them away.

I don’t choose my players purely based on gear, Its just a fact of the matter. I don’t want to have to refer to raider IO every session to hand filter my players every time. Cause your average joe can acquire 370 ILVL effortlessly cause they can get it via boosts or welfare epics. Having a pre-made group of 5 means I can progress, sometimes however you just can’t achieve it and have to use LFG, I had an hour to spare prior to being tasked with other things, I shouldn’t have to look down on such GEARED players dribbling to a degree where their basically there too mooch or leech off the other participants sorry. This problem would -not- exist if it was how things used to be. Where Casuals were donned in heroic dungeon gear at BEST or out-dated PVP gear

While the thinking that every player must aspire to a full, at-level, Mythic Raid clear, for every Raid that is released is perpetuated, a community of underachievers is all you’ll get.

if you - the player - are happy to set your sights lower than this, no-one has any right to call you out for it.

people who cant do mythic dungeon after few months into the expansion go into the group i mentioned.

“can’t” has nothing to do with it. It’s a choice. It’s a system I don’t want to endorse. So I don’t want to contribute to it.

Also; oh that’s how it works is it? You make the rules and change them when someone calls you out on faults with it. Right. Good to know.

There’s a difference between being able to do content & content being possible to complete.

Many players are not of the opinion that Mythic Dungeons can’t be done, just that they can’t play their character well enough to get the job done, even with a full team of implicitly trusted friends.

I’ve gone into random Dungeons with an undispelable fear that the Healer will not heal me… as DPS, not as Tank.
Getting good isn’t the issue; I’m sure I’m good enough to do my part, I just don’t trust that others will not expect more from me that I’m able to deliver ‘on that day in History’.
