i swear i do a whole day of m+ and im down 15k gold in repair and i like to tmog a lot so probably double that. please blizzard its too expensive
If they remove/reduce both goldsinks then they would need to vastly reduce income or introduce other goldsinks to compensate for it.
Id be fine if Wow token was 500k gold. but thats not the case
Youâre fine with if everyone has more gold to spend? Are you sure? It would also mean everything in comparison becomes more expensive, AH stuff, commodities, enchants, materials.
Transmog costs are too high. I would love to see them reduced.
People change mog far to often and then whine about the cost , its due to the cost of the gear you are wearing.
Mog and repair need to be in the game they were silly to remove barber costs as well.
So what youâre saying is because of your lack of knowledge in terms of farming/grinding or just not getting killed so many times in M+ runs, that you want Blizzard to reduce the cost of the transmog services?
Hey Blizzard can you also reduce the cost of the monthly subscription by 90% because⌠just because and also can you remove repair costs all together, make M+ runs instant completed the moment you enter your key and lastly, but most importantly remove all aspect of fun, progression and the ability to learn as you play!
Thank you!
You get 12-15+k gold from doing your weekly caches and set WQs, more so with WM on and paragon rep trovesâŚ
only time i get to mog on my main is if i replace gear, dracthyr donât get the privy of having mog cause of dumb visage form ruining it.
They might up transmog costs a bit to boost token sales
Goldsinks, such as transmog and repair costs, are the reason for WoWâs good inflation. Removing them would fundamentally harm the game.
Supply and demand
They have vastly reduced gold income
Theyâve also increased repair costs dramatically.
Its pretty obvious its a cynical attempt to nudge people towards tokens at this point.
Here we go againâŚtoken this token that
*sells tin foil hats for a copper* Iâd probably still get rich
Transmog shouldnt be on the gold-sink list!
Ppl with most gold in-game are farming bots. Bots are mostly droods⌠they never tmog and dont sink their gold.
Tmog gold-sink harm the poor casual player!
No they wonât⌠in case you arenât aware, tansmog/repair cost is based on the vendored value of the item.
Itâs a much needed global goldsink.
If people are doing M+/Raids, repeatedly dying, but refuse to do other stuff to cover the cost thatâs on them. Itâs a choice they chose to forego making gold, and the game throws gold at you⌠a single character typically makes 25-30+k in a week from doing the weekly caches and gold WQs, which doesnât take long to do.
The hidden argument is that they donât want to do that content, because itâs content they do not enjoy and they should not be forced to do âchoresâ and generally stuff they donât enjoy just to be able to do stuff they enjoy. Thatâs the hidden crux of every such demand for cost reductions.
At which point we will start going in circles saying âThatâs how the game has worked since 2004â and âThe game should catch up to the times, itâs no longer 2004â and blah blah blah.
I have made suggestions for both of the problems of transmog costs and repair bills. Here we go again:
Transmog
Split Transmog into Personal Transmog and Global Transmog.
- Personal Transmog is the one that appears on my screen and my screen alone, noone elses. Make Personal Transmog entirely free.
- Global Transmog is the transmog that appears on everyonesâ monitors (Global Transmog would essentially be what we have right now). Keep Global Transmog with its cost (or even higher).
Problem solved. People get to change personal apperances without limitation, but they do not affect what others see on their screen, at which point they will have to cough up some dough.
Bonus points for implementing engineering toys that allow players to see another playerâs personal transmog or to even bypass their global transmog and see them with just the gear they have equipped.
Repair Costs
Make M+ cause no durability loss. As a follow up to not cause inflation, also make it not drop any gold at all and at any level, and make every item dropped from it including its line on the Great Vault have 0 vendor value and unable to be disenchanted.
You want to extend that to raids. Do so with similar changes in gold income and 0-disenchantable equipment from that too. Yes, including BoEs.
Never forget when a legacy raid run would net you roughly 1.5k gold for item sales. Now they barely cover repair costs.
why such a complicated solution. just reduce cost by 80% and its all fixed
Because I reduce it by up to 100%
