To all the critters i've loved before

So I finally got my husband to play and together we are completing the game in order from classic to the latest.

We was just looking at the achievements for the Eastern Kingdoms and saw the ."achievement “To all the critters i’ve loved before”. while going through the list I noticed Borean Frog and Steam Frog.

It has crossed my mind that I can not think off a location in the Eastern Kingdoms these would be, I know they are in Borean Thunder and Zangarmarsh. Surly there has got to be a spot in the Eastern Kingdoms in which these animals live ? being that it is under the Eastern kingdoms achievements list.

Has the game developers made a mistake ?.

Googling it, it doesn’t seem to be anywhere in Eastern Kingdoms.

Does it get crossed out when you /love one in Borean Tundra?

Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor were revamped in Cata so those zones aren’t truly “Classic” anymore.
Achievements were only added in Wrath, so there aren’t really any true “Classic” achievements either (although there were titles which you could have earned in Classic which now count as achievements).

Also sometimes an achievement can be updated by a later expansion, such as ones to earn 50 exalted reputations or collect 50 mounts becoming earn / collect 70 or 100.

So you might see discrepancies between an achievement and its category as a Burning Crusade or Classic era one.

And yes, if you /love the critter in Borean Tundra it will count, even if you’re no longer in “Classic” areas.

They really should move the achievement into a different category as its under Eastern Kingdoms and being that Borean Thunder is Northend I believe.

There are quite a lot of replies in the comments section on Wowhead, have you tried any of those solutions?

Or have I got the wrong achievement?

Edit to add - I was amused by the comment that hugging dead critters counts.

I don’t know what to think about those comments :eyes:
