just don’t play with people who say that, problem solved. I’d rather have people play intoxicated than them drive a car or something like that. At least nobody is endangered IRL.

I wouldn’t expect people who purposely get intoxicated with dangerous substances to show sound judgement, nor be susceptible to reason.
They’re just gonna do W/E they want.

True. Things ARE different now. But I do judge people when it encroaches on my life like it does on my gaming experience. Now I’m just in the habit of blocking them automatically so I don’t have to be around that stuff. Right now the game is my outside world as I’m in isolation and I really don’t want to be around stoners in my escape world. That’s what I’m saying
My friend and I queued up for a mythic plus in Darkheart Thicket once to find the leader and his mate were very under the influence. We didn’t time the key but they were hilariously bad while off their faces. We just laughed, did the key and moved on.
Also had some drunk tanks in some raids before, those runs don’t always go so well either.
You either go with the flow or leave them to it.

Maybe they are just saying that to cover up being terrible at the game though?
Just let people do their thing and you do yours 
if this pandemic should teach us one thing it’s that life is too short to sweat the small stuff and get angry at each other over silly stuff

Typically, it’s a way to sound edgy and “cool”. Most of them probably aren’t nor have ever been stoned to begin with.

That’s right. We had a guildie who started doing weed all the time, including just before raids.
We had to remove him from the team because his reaction times and his mental capacity was just down in the gutter whenever he was playing, and he just would not understand that we told him not to. He was also pulling mobs and not moving correctly in-game, which hilarious is behaviours I’d assume he would only do out of the game, but it was because of lazy and uncoordinated hand movements!
These people are just gonna do whatever they want, and they’re gonna play awful, but no worse than other people who are just plain awful. Call it out when you see it and stop playing with them. That’s all you can do. 
@Red: We definitely had one, let me tell you. xD I also found out he was in Denmark illegally working in Frederiksværk on some construction project while doing the weed.

I usually have a beer or two when I play, sometimes a bit more. There was one time in Wrath when I was tanking with my paladin and after a few vipes, I had to admit that I was too drunk for that sh*t and left the group after telling them that I am not capable of doing it now
I don’t care if people are drunk or whatever, let everyone play the way they want

you do understand that people who say things like that aren’t actually under the influence at all, and probably never will be.
Same with people who talk about intercourse online … they never have had and never will have intercourse.

I’m not saying it’s never true, just most of the time is probably braggards rather than actual junkies. 
I heard that “I’m stoned” stuff so many times that I stopped counting.
