To blizzard, feedback. Stop trying to make money off of a beta, it is revolting

Yes, thank you. That commercial indeed says exactly this.

I can afford it, i just do not like rewards for that price nor i am interested. But asking to upgrade +40 EUR for an epic version just to have access to beta is nothing but greed.

How will they know if you don’t report the problems? What automated systems?

I’m genuinely curious what you mean.

Has Blizzard employed eyebrow raising tactics before to make money? Yes

Is granting “guaranteed access” to everyone who payed for the epic edition one of them? No.

Plenty of players who didn’t buy will be sent invites for the beta. And it is also highly likely that a good bunch of the demographic who bought the Epic Edition won’t spend that much time in the Beta.

Speaking for myself, I’d only want to test new DK talents and hero specs, give some feedback. Don’t really want to explore the story, dungeons and raids. I want those to be fresh (and hopefully bug free) for when the game releases.

They’re not charging €41 for Beta access. The additional cost contains many more items.

That is your choice, but don’t say they are charging €41 just for Beta access when they are not, because that is not true.

That’s like buying a box of chocolates, throwing away the ones you don’t like & claiming you’re being charged just for the ones you do like.

So how much does beta access cost separately?

This!! I so want to see DK improvement as we’ve been woeful for years, especially as Frost

Hah, may I invite you to our famous “Depresso Bar” over at the DK forum? Many woeful laments over there! :skull: :rofl:

I actually love bug reporting, I like filling forms out and such. Though, I recognise I am strange little bean. I don’t want to spoil the game, however.
I would have been great for bug reportng in the Cata Classic beta but I didn’t get that until a week before launch!

I used to do that in all previous beta rounds I was invited to.
But after having seen the same issues reappear during the actual launch, I kind of gave up on it.

Even now I am not bothered by the Beta.
Didn’t buy the special editions, and will just play when I get get access to it, or when it properly launches. Definitely not going to pay extra just to get a beta spot.

Just curious to see whether there is going to be another round of “Exploit Early”.

Yes, I was very disheartened to see what bugs I came across always made it to the game.
I didn’t buy the special edition for beta or early access and I imagine the early access days will be an absolute mess.
Exploits will always happen, in any game. It’s just what some people do, sadly. I am generally not that fussed as it is mostly a solo game for me with occasional fun with friends or family.

Epic edition includes a Mount, Transmog, Mini Pet, Toy, Hearthstone & 30 days game time.
Not including the 3 days Early access, & using current shop prices for the rest we get:

Game time = €12.99
Mount = €25.00
Transmog = €20.00
Mini Pet = €10.00
Hearthstone = €5.00
Toy = €5.00

Epic Edition includes €77.99 of collectables.
The difference between Standard & Epic is €40
So Early Access & Beta costs approximately - €37.99

By this reckoning, they are paying us to Beta Test.

Thanks!

Ima gonna buy 100 copies. I’m going to make a fortune beta testing this.

Gambos is right about it! The question why not standard includes beta? Tell me reason why it has to be epic?

There was a beta signup ages ago, you don’t even need a subscription to the game to get invited to the beta. Also, in MOP back in 2012 which was 12 years ago btw, beta access was given to everyone who pre-ordered the game… This is old news.

The bad stuff is giving early access to the launch of the game for premium buyers, like they did with Diablo 4 and like I’m hearing they are planning for all future WoW expansions.

You do not need to be toxic here. Nobody is lying.

You must pay to get beta access for TWW expansion.

This is blizzard commercial. in Blizzard launcher.

As for MOP beta it was different. and not advertised if you buy expansion you get beta invite.

it is, as advertised in blizzard launcher.

You pay for GUARANTEED access.
Players can still get access to the Beta by signing up for it.
You can sign up for it here

You keep advertising the same old picture.
“Guarenteed” access…ok…and?

If it was “Buy epic edition and get an EXLUSIVE epic editions owners only access to Beta” then you might have an point.

And for anyone who does just want to sign up for beta (for free), you can do so here and take your chances like any other Beta test

oh lord, I can already envision the threads by people who paid for beta flooding the forums.
