To Blizzard! The PVP rated arena will never be fixed! Until you all PVP players wake up and speak up as myself! This is probably the only game in the world you pay a monthly fee in order to play and you do NOT have a simple solo queue for 2v2 and 3v3 rated arena. You have only solo shuffle which it total joke. Every other game with multiplayer mode, you click a button for queue, you wait your party atomically depending your rating to be gathered and you start playing after 2-3 minutes. Blizzard does NOT care one bit about the pvp players in the retail wow, quality of life changes, or balancing the classes. On purpose pushing you to have every class, to keep you longer in the game, by implementing this non sense strategy, because after every next minor patch your class can be nerfed to the ground and if you don’t have another class you can’t climb the ladder. The game is simply not rewarding.
Everyone of you have been in my shoes in lfg, pug is super near impossible to find people who play often the game or who will be your friends for long time to progress together. I play retail since TBC very very old customer. I am stopping to play the game and pay for nonsense, until I see a proper solution for rated PVP.
The only solution is: It doesn’t have to be that complicated to shuffle all the players as solo shuffle. Simple as that, make a solo queue option for 2v2 and 3v3 rated. In 2,3 minutes you have to be matched could be a bit longer depending how high is your raiting. Then you are matched with a healer at your raiting, you play only 1 round with him/her that is it. If you like each other you can continue playing together, if not you sign up for new queue. That is it, simple as that! Don’t know why blizzard refusing doing this, could be their under covered boosters making extra profit, could be, could be not. Blizzard cares only about pushing you a pop-up windows with sales, buy this, buy that and that is it. People who play this game are smart, we are not naïve! On purpose Blizzard keeping you waiting in solo shuffle queue to wait between 15-35 minutes, in order to hold you longer in the game, instead of giving you more actual play time, of course you ready window can show up withing few minutes. How you will improve if you wait that long for queue? You can’t! The only thing raising in you is tension and stress of losing. How many of you waited for a healer or dd/dps for rated 2v2 or 3v3 between 10 to 50 minutes and more? I am sure most of you. Sorry but I am not masochist to wait for a healer 30 minutes at average raiting for 2v2 or 3v3 who might quit after the first game! Then to wait another 30 minutes or more. Instead of having implemented simple queue for all rated arena matches! Example: Today after work did 3 games with a healer then he left, it was at 2000cr then I waited half a day a nobody joined. Why, simply because Blizzard doesn’t want to implement that queue and am sure they are doing it on purpose. This is the only game in the world that you don’t have q for rated games.
Why should I waste my time and be dependable on someone stranger’s grace and mercy to join my game, and quits after 1,2 games? While I can play any other game that is more rewarding and no matter what rated game mode you play the waiting time is within 5 minutes time frame. I had enough with this game, and many people I came across in the game were on the exact same feeling. Until the needed change is done I am stopping to contribute my money and time to this developer.
the shuffle q times depend on how many players, especially healers, q up. blizzard does not control the times to make u wait longer on purpose. and why would they even? they dont care wether u play 1 hour or 2 hours a day, they only need u to pay ur sub. players already quit due to long q times so what ur saying makes zero sense.
the simple reason pvp is on its knees is because blizzard doesnt give a singular f about it.
at this point it seems that blizzard thinks that investing into really improving pvp is not worth it financially.
Hate to break it for you but the solo que solves nothing, not a single problem that comes to class design. What do you think will happen if solo queue goes into other brackets too? You’ve seen it already, people who reroll over a meta, play only meta, pray for meta etc. It’s going to be more DH, Warr, Monk seasons. You can’t stop people as they do whatever it takes to follow certain order. Who needs to change, i have to say players.
The game should stop following trends and focus into created systems that sells the game.
PVP is unfixable
Classes are designed for PVE because the PVE playersbase is huge compared to the PVP playerbase and PVP players refuse pvp scaling.
Battleground Blitz will be the best pvp has to offer (if we dont get flooded with bots)
Solo Q the existing 2v2 and 3v3 will increase arena participation a lot but it will still be an awful experience.
At least we won’t have mmr problems anymore.
Solo Shuffle or “real 2v2/3v3” solo q will never work in WoW as long as there is a healer requirement. At the start of every expansion you will be able to find matches for the first 1-3 months due to the huge influx of players which will drop off sharply naturally afterwards. This game is not champion select based game like a Moba or Overwatch, where there is also “Auto-Fill” → if a role can’t be found, you will be forced into that role that is queued the least. WoW simply cannot work that way. If queue times are too long in WoW, the game won’t just log you out of your character, create a new character and class, spec into heal, do all your keybinds, macros, addons, UI etc. automatically and join the queue or match with that character instead. As in any other game dps is the most played role. Role q in other games ofc also works better since there is a way bigger playerbase as well but again there is automated “fill-role” option based on what is the least queued role. Now WoW PvP with way less players compared to those pure PvP games, how can it now ever compete with those games in terms of queue times the way it is outside of the honeymoon phase of a new expansion? The only real solution would be to allow dps vs dps and you would constantly find matches. Rebalancing for situations would need to happen when dps vs dps is happening or add in map items such as heal or shield items etc. (see LoLs solo shuffle mode 2v2v2v2). In League, every game mode has separate balancing, that ought to be the case if 3 dps vs 3 dps play against each other in WoW as well.
To increase the overall stable playerbase for WoW, alot of other things would need to be addressed, but the thing mentioned above is the only solution regardless of how many players play the game when it comes to queue times.
Its healers player base that effects q times. There can be billions of dps players, but if not enough healers = q times.
Blizzard do not put any effort to encourage playing healer, thats the problem. Basic thing could be healer rewards.
I’m currently writing something up that addresses a lot regarding the current implementation of “Solo Q”. Its something I had in mind and in my notes for a very long time. Once I’m done with the formatting I will link it to you. Its all just my opinion of course.

I’m Beores, who replied to you saying that I was writing something in regards to the current implementation of Solo Q and that I would link you my write-up once I’m done.
I don’t know how to reply to multiple people at once and couldn’t add any more replies to this post until someone replies to me due to some anti-spam forum restrictions.
Well, I’m done, feel free to read through it, its quite long though.
