Tittle says it all friends. I am just the bottom of the food chain. Retribution Paladin no damage no way to slow people.
But I can admit i feel like i’ve got a chance against almost any class in world pvp if I play my cards right. But fighting priests just feels like a different game like you taking on a different species.
You want some damage reduction we got that. You want some dots that do more damages then entire warlock kit. Got that to. How about some shields? Oh yea you didn’t think so but we have that! What you say? A powerful nuke that takes out 40% of your hp you bet.
Oh you think we didn’t have like a 30 second aoe crowd control silly paladin. By that time that fear ends and all the dots ticked enough you are in there just to get final kiss with - Shadow Word: Death.

In a way SP is somewhat known, as the constant damage is actually insane in pvp. Tho people think since its been nerfed that its fine. Its not. How insane u ask ? Well you will need multiple WGs and hots to top yourself from 2 dots.
As for MM with Lone Wolf ? The burst is just… heh… well lets just say we should all be happy that most Hunters have not figured out how busted this actually is.
It is a bit funny that people seemed to forget about SP the moment it got a nerf. Most of the time you will still find an SP at the top of the scoreboard in AB with dozens of kills and only a death or two.

Should we talk about ferals out damaging lone wolf MM hunters in bear form?
Shadow priest is soo busted that you wont even find people playing disc&holy anymore, same with most hybrid classes - why would they play healing when their dps spec outperforms everything.
So now you cant find any healers, well played Blizzard.
Currently the top dogs = Shadow priest, enhancement shaman, fire mage, BM hunter with melee runes, Mutil rogue.
Fire mages - BM hunters - enhancement - mutil rogue all have higher burst than MM lonewolf. Or if you consider a 3 second cast aimed shot non critting for 400 awesome burst in full bis gear - sure, meanwhile BM hunters kill you in 2-3 seconds.
What is however in reality flying under the radar is BM with melee runes. I know who your feral is - faced you in AB, just because you dont know how to play doesent mean MM lone wolf is good.
Only idiots reroll SP when you can outheal anything with holy priest with the new runes.
Disc is outdatet already holy is king right now.
Only chance to kill a priest with mm lone wolf is if you crit aimed and multi. If you dont you might aswell give up cause he is gona outheal your dmg while you die from the dots
You are not supposed to be strong against ALL other classes. Every class has another class which counters them almost all the time. Some classes are stronger in 1v1 and others shine in groups.
Shadow Priests have a lot of weaknesses like a weak shield (cause we are at damage number for level 60 with runes), no pushback protection (like all other casters), 150% crit damage (every other class has 200% or even more) and fear is also extremely weak currently because 1. it breaks almost always instantly 2. everyone can trinket it now 3. paladin runes with removing fear/sleep without being able to prevent that like tremor totems.
Purge/Dispel a shadow priest and he’s also free food. Put a hunter pet on him and he’s unable to cast. Very easy to kick. No stun resistance currently. The only way we can get a cast out is an RNG blackout proc. If you let us cast, your fault. It’s very easy to prevent a shadow priest from doing much except dotting. Dispel SW:P and Cure VP. VP has a 6sec cooldown, curing it has no CD.
Shadow Priests only feel overpowered if you don’t know how to fight them.

Had to alter the opener, because it was too easy to flame. First off, why are you using Aimed Shot in STV and much of PvP atm when during that cast you will most likely have already killed someone easily as LW Hunter ?
1.2k Chimera, 1.1k Multishot, and 1.2+k auto shots. All this unlike many other spells leaves no visible trace when you are getting attacked, which results in people usually not noticing when a Hunter is murking them around the tree + no Pet for the dead giveaway.
As shocking as it is for someone who has played MM all this time but is unaware, MM with Lone Wolf is absolutely destroying people. And this is before the buff, which is very much needed for PvE, but NOT PvP. But please ! Dont try it, stay with what you were doing and cast Aimed Shot xD

The opener goes scatter + aimed - if enemy trinkets scatter you trap. Im not the one getting farmed by MM lone wolf in AB mate, thats you. Keep being a free kill though.

Oh but the contrary! If u still think Shadowpriest is OP then you just suck at pvp and should stick to pve. U can easily counter Shadowpriest if u know it’s weaknesses and actually know class identities. 100% pure skill issue tbh
No, priest is not overpowered. They have survivability issues, fear is always trinketed, dispersion means nothing as a “survival mechanic” it’s there to simply create several ticks of your DoT while you try to remain alive. It also can be used to preemptively shield from heavy incoming skills like mortal strike/arcane surge/lava e.t.c but its rare you can guess when its about to happen, a bit easier against warrior by looking at his rage bar.
Dispersion can remove CC but what for? You can’t run away in dispersion, the enemy simply follows you until smokey purple is over. Considering this, dispersion would be an “escape” utility IF the priest could lock down the enemy first, then try to escape, but there is no spell in priest’s toolkit to perform this and rightly so otherwise priest WOULD be OP.
Power word shield absorbs 350 (lol) or so damage, that’s a single white hit from someone wielding a 2 hander, can be dispelled by sham/lock/priest, requires a global (which is very important decision as a DoT class) and has a long cooldown with weakened soul.
Mind blast/mind spike are garbage doing barely 400 damage/600 crit and are interruptible and susceptible to pushback, in fact its not worth casting these mid-fights, only as an opener, it’s better to run away while dotting causing enemy to chase and forfeit their cast timing abilities.

Strongest dots in the game, SWD is one of the strongest instants in the game, dispersion is always up when I get rushed and need to pull back, homonculi and fiend can be sent to keep rogues etc in combat, can offensively dispel and drop form to heal/dispel self
