I need some advice . I got to much mastery and only spec benefit from it is affliction . Is there a way to get more haste ?
All my gear have mastery and haste so i cannot unequip gear to lower mastery
Look for gear with haste and another useful stats. Check M+ and Raid loot tables.
Im pretty sure mastery is top stat for destruction
Haste is better for destro and demo for casting . but i switched to demo keeping eye out on haste gear
based on your profile you play lock for fun, not hardcore so i highly recommend wear whatever is higher ilvl. and try not to focus on stats they are boring . and min & maxing outside raiding and mythic plus is not really needed play however you find fun .
but as demonology if you want to cast faster you need implosive potentional azerite trait which you need to get 3 piece of gear with those traits and learn its playstyle.
Haste really isn’t better than mastery for either of the two specs. They’re about equal, value changing with what gear you have.
always thought with the destro casting you needed haste and with demo for dreadstalkers and shadow bolt
Stat weights have never been static. For some classes and specs they don’t change much because a single stat is just absurdly strong, but that isn’t the case for warlocks, as our stats are quite close together.
For example, my Demonology DPS gain for single target per stat is as follow:
Crit=2.69
Mastery=2.55
Versatility=2.55
Intellect=2.34
Haste=2.32
Mastery becomes slightly better than crit for quick, bursty AoE (dungeons).
The reason why haste has such a low value is because I’m already getting a lot of haste from having two Explosive Potential traits, Overwhelming Power and a haste trinket. With your current gear you can probably just go for the highest itemlevel gear and be fine, but that may change once you get better azerite traits etc.
My destruction stats are mastery > haste ~= crit > versatility > int, but this may not necessarily be ideal for you.
For the most part you can probably just stack mastery and haste for both specs and be fine (assuming you’re using Explosive Potential correctly), but if you want to optimize your DPS then better get used to using raidbots com and the SimlationCraft addon, because there really is no other way to know for sure what stats are best because of how azerite traits affect your character. You can thank Blizzard for that.
Edit: if you get another Explosive Potential for Demonology you probably want to go from master/haste to mastery/crit tho.
