To people that put items like ores in the auction house as a single item instead of a stack

stop it, get some help

Auctionator (the addon) makes buying these easier (and also ignoring them).

As Murr said, just use auctionator. Let’s you completely ignore the 1 stacks and they should never become the horrible problem that they are.

They should rework Ah a bit. They could make system that you always sell in stack if you put more than one of the same thing in ah but people can buy just one from stack. They should also work in order system for people to order things on certain price and then other people who want quick sells to be able to sell instantly for them.

They have changed it to make it less profitable. People should stop buying them.

I mean, once in a blue moon I do literally need 1 ore to make a bar to get a skill level…

But most of the time I just ignore these mass listings because they are scum.

I would rather pay 10% more for a big stack than get the cheapest via 100 clicks.

I’ve never understood the benefit of filling the AH up with lists of 1 ore/herb/cloth etc. Like how is that possibly helpful.

Cause then the first like 5 pages are just your listings.

If you list 2 stacks at cheapest price, only the first 2 listings of the first page would be yours.

It’s less about making the biggest profit but about pushing your competitors out of the field.

Furthermore you can manipulate the price to go lower, if that is something that you try to achieve.

The first thing I do is look for a stack

i bet they hope some poor schmock who doesnt know there are multiple tabs on the AH will buy it cause they think its the only there is on AH

I just use TSM and buy the cheapest.

I do buy the cheapest, but in a stack. I detest items listed in singles and avoid them like the plague.

Doesn’t work, I just think “what a tool” and ignore them all.

buyer beware … if you fall for it, that’s your fault for not paying attention. Scumbags are scumbags, every walk of life has them … if you fall for it, its your fault and your problem.
Auto completion is what this is all about (read up on it if you don’t know what it is), being taken advantage of by scumbags.
Your fault, your issue, your problem

I don’t play the AH that much these days, but when I did I normally posted in stacks that would match a recipe that used the item. i.e. if a recipe required a stack of 15 ore/bar/herb I’d sell it in a stack that was a multiple of that size, 15, 30, 45, 150 etc.

Posting single items only works if are clearing out you bags/bank and have odd items.

Don’t hate the player, hate the game.

If only blizzard would implement a proper AH where you can list items and all items that have the same prize are in the same stack and the buyer could choose how many of those items he wants. (Like the steam purchase orders etc.).

You could list 200 leather for 5g each, someone else can list 5 leather for 5g each and in the AH would be shown as 205 leather for sale at 5g each.

The buyer could then buy 10 of the 205 leather with the old listing being prioritized over new listings.

It’s simply that I’m not willing to waste my time.
