To those who specific queue The Culling of Stratholm

A gnome char, talking about stuff been “to long”…there is a joke to be said, but, i am short on idea what that might be >.<

Anyway, “back in my days, when ppl first did blackrock deeps, the instance took like ~2 hour to complete!”…and guese what, ppl still enjoyed it, hell, even when you where done, you where miles away from the exit, nowdays, ppl expect a instance to take less then 5 min with a exit at the end or its a “fail instance” :frowning:

The “gogogogo” mentality would rather Elite mobs and bosses require only 1 DPS to 2 shot and be over with.

Having levelled a Void Elf recently to obtain heritage armour and running Culling of Stratholme, it felt about right. Pace, and combat, healing it was slightly painful but nothing I couldn’t manage.

You may as well run around hitting a room full of target dummies for 5 minutes, at least they won’t move. The sad thing is, I know there’s a few people would rather have that…

Remember AV back in the day? When it could last DAYS?

45 minutes isn’t a huge commitment.

I cant believe no one said it yet…

Just to add more opinions about not give a damn about min/max effiency does not have nothing to do with using heirlooms or not. Just because i dont want to optimize my leveling path for alters ( i do not care what is the different between doing quest and doing Calling of Stratholme in efficiencey) does not means i will go for the lowest possible option and play without heirlooms.

I play for fun and when i level a new character i try to queue for every dungeon, because i like more dungeon content that outdoor questing, and my preference for dungeons is to do every dungeon at least one, doing all the quest, reading all the text and all the lore, and after that repeat the dungeon the minimal number of time possible, including for example to do a complete BRD run (and you know what? most of the times people does not complaint if i do not go into the efficience route, most of the people actually does not care about efficiency).

In fact the things i hate most is to have the same dungeon twice in a row, so in levels like 60-80 i switch from one random queue to another all the time. So i do random dungeons alternating with selecting specific dungeons if for some reason there is one dungeon that does not appear in random queue.

So, the next time i level a character from 60 to 80 i will continue doing this, i will continue doing all the dungeons. So, that means if go into Calling of Strotholme and i dont care if you dont like it, if someone leave i will search for more people and i dont care if you dont like and in case the dungeon does not show in random queue i will deliberately queue for that dungeon one time and i dont care if you dont like it. I dont care about your opinion, i dont need your approval to queue into Calling of Strotholm, so i will queue whenever dungeon i want, if that means forcing you into do it that dungeon so be it, is not my problem and you can’t do nothing to stop me.

At the end my argument is very simple, i will queue into Calling of Strotholme because i want, you cant think there are some logic about efficiency, or is very logic, but my logic is just simpler, i will queue into that dungeon because i want, because i will do what i want with my queue.

You can’t expect to dictate to others how they want to play.

read my comments you’re making pointless arguments I already countered before.

Ofc, 2 shotting ppl with aimed shot (from shadowmeld) was OP, a kill score on 100 to 200+ was not uncommen in those kinda AV’s.

Hell, even back then ppl had “respect” for other ppl (since BG where server wide only), i remember some undead shadow priest, whenever he entered the BG, the horde had won the BG XD, hell.

Also, “/1 inv me to the group please!” (for AV), thank god we dont have to ask for inv nowdays XD!

Quickest way around this is just pay 60 Euro in the shop, you will find that you can earn a lot more than that amount during the time you would spend levelling 0 to 110.

I freak out if I miss one dungeon during leveling.
I want to do all the quests, and love re-visiting the old dungeons while acctually being in lvl-range

I got an urge to go specific queue the Culling of Stratholme on an alt…

You must be the one I met in BRD on my alt. I just ran it twice through the dungeon tool. I had a quest there so I was interested in doing the dungeon, but there was a …“strong” talker in the group, was “5 minutes 80k xp”. Second run I said “come domicile” and I was instantly booted with no comment, as a tank.

How about you uninstall the game? Some people just want to play the game like it was meant to be played, not to carry some people who are using anything and anyone as a means to an end, which is to hit 120 as fast as possible.
Don’t expect the community to be there for your/this agenda.

The thought to specific queue for Culling of Stratholme never occurred to me, though now I’ll make sure to do so next time I have an alt in that level range. I liked that place.

Thanks, OP!

OP, you’re what’s wrong with the playerbase of today.

No patience, just rush rush rush… Have the Pandaren taught you nothing?

I levelled this wee lass without setting one tootsie in a dungeon, and I quite enjoyed the trip;
This is the first char I’ve levelled since BC to be fair, and the Cata stuff, while flashing through in the past was all new to me in a lore sense, hell I even got my revised Loremaster.

To cut a thread short…

“I hate this instance and you should too…”

Those dungeons you point out I am happy to see. its been a while I have stepped foot there and when I am ported to one of them I stay to play them and enjoy the feeling of old times long lost.

I usually rush my leveling but sone dungeons even when not worth the time/exp are just fun to do. I am not intentionally queing for them. But when I get them I am quite happy.

Same as The oculus, Old stratholme etc. They are just too good to skip
