Today i learned a lesson

If you see someone taking talents that make no sense together, don’t invite them, this goes double if they have things like 2 unbuffed jaithys.

Today i was doing a run, there was a dude with decent enough score, and good ilvl, then i looked at their talents, and the selection was sloppy to say the least, i was wondering whether or not kicking, ultimately i decided to keep him, and the result was 6 k overall dps.

In short, to maximize your chance of doing the dungeon correctly, look at score, then look at talents, gear and then logs, with all these factors combined it should paint a better picture than just score. It is more time consuming obviously, but it could avoid pain later.

In short the reason why their talent selection is sloppy is because they don’t know what they are doing. Raider io score doesn’t matter in front of this fact. You could have 2 k score and be giga carried, doesn’t translate to good player.

Good, send them to me. I take anyone who is willing to attempt it because I don’t give a flying damn about getting it done or not.

Fun is what matters in my groups. Not the loot. That’s just the topping on the fun part.

Out of curiosity. Which m+ was?

You mean mythic +? Yes

Or you mean you, no, warlocks cannot dual wield jaithys.

You were definitely not in the group. There was no lock.

Damn, must have been a really traumatizing experience grouping with someone witch such low dps. It’s good that you have learned your lesson, but if you want I could forward you to a good therapist, scars like these don’t heal over night.

The more you learn, the more ways you find to avoid bad players.

His dps was so low it hurt my eyes, and my brain. I almost had an aneurysm.

Anyway, you guys play with all the bad players as far as i am concerned, enjoy failure, i mean it’s your gameplay anyway. In fact i enjoy it when you take the bad players, so they don’t come to my groups.

2k is only KSM level, which is rather easy, so yeah, big brain right there.

It’s not hard to avoid bad players, I mean you’re doing 13’s and stuff atm I don’t really care about inspecting people and checking their talents at that level. You do you though.

Are you one of those people that only invites “gigachads” or “big d… dps!!!” for 7’s and makes sure you have a CR, BL and at least 3 meta specs cos its seriouz bizniz?

I mean, weren’t you blog posting yesterday about how hard explosives are?

Whats worse than a bad player, is a player with a bad attitude.
Even if you could giga carry, I would still take the other guy.

Guess I learned my own lesson today

You mean players like you? Sure, the game could do without that horrible attitude of yours.

I commend that player for making his own talentbuild. That’s why it was implemented in the first place.

Lots of people here trying to hurt my feelings.

I mean, i’m not stopping you from taking the bad players, you do you. In fact as i said before, i like it when other people take them, so they don’t come to my groups, or the groups that i am in.

But i knew since the beginning that it would turn like this, because it’s not the truth that matters, it’s how you make people feel, and i said bad things, that make people feel bad. And for that, i am not sorry. Grow up.

In the end, most of the people that virtue signal here, would not like actually playing with bad performers if it came down to it. And they would definitely take a better player over a worse one. Because that’s just how it is, and you pretending otherwise not only doesn’t make any sense, but it’s also false.

Don’t blame OP guys, it’s because Blizzard created such systems, people like him appeared….

Not really, that’s just you showing your contempt for m+.

But i actually like m+.

i just really dislike playing with terrible players. And so do you, and no amount of virtue signaling will change that.

Everyone here wants to pretend like they are better than that, that they are the knight in shining armor picking up bad players and carrying them, but deep down, if the result is loss, no one likes it.

It’s bearable as long as everyone else picks up their slack, but it’s definitely not enjoyable, and if you knew about it before, you certainly would not have invited him/her.

I’m just being a bit more honest than others here, unless they are the bad players, and so what i am saying directly translates to them not getting into groups, and that’s just too bad, i mean it’s absurd that people don’t wanna play with me if i don’t provide anything for the group right? What about my wow experience? What about my carry?

Right? Indeed i am right.

Unless you enjoy failure, and if that’s your kink, good for you, i won’t shame you for your kink.

I can vouch!

Joined a PUG with Heramaar a few weeks back. Healer rage quit the group because he couldn’t work out how to turn Raid Frames on the new UI. Group continued and 4 manned the Key. Was great fun!

I’ve got 10 or so Toons that I have needed to work through. Most of the time I have just copied and pasted the Wowhead suggested Talent tree for Keys and jumped in and given it ago. After abit of time, I’ve worked out what hasn’t worked for me and changed it to improve my performance. But this has taken time to go through all of them.

Everything is going to be changing in a couple of weeks anyway, so I completely understand if a player doesn’t want to/have time to fine tune their Talents which are going to change as soon as our Legendaries and Covenant abilities are turned off.

Its fine if you want to take the extra steps to ensure your groups success. But there’s no need to come on the forums and boast about your elitism… it’s not pretty.

Maybe trying helping the player, not burning them.

I never get why we’re always given freedom of choice when there’s only 1 choice. Might as well give no talent trees at all, would save time.

There are many choices depending on how well built the talent tree is.

There are also choices that make no sense, and if you take those because it\s “my build” Then you can’t expect to actually perform well.

Overall talent trees were a great addition to the game.

Yes but in the end you’re always using whatever sims best for said content, so it’s not really a customization, it’s a default setting. You may fail at setting it right though

Why do u make such drama about people, who don’t play well? Man, u should more focus on own life/brain’s health than on this game for sure.

Except you don’t have to do that, you just have to perform well enough.

As i said before it wasn’t just about talents, there were many red flags, which i should have listened to.

I find it funny that people are saying that i am super toxic etc, it’s frankly water off a ducks back, but they didn’t read the fact that i kept that player even after those red flags, granted, i shouldn’t have, but i’m hardly the raging neckbeard they want to make me out to be.

In fact i am quite pretty and also skinny with no neckbeard if i do say so myself. And very humble too.

Granted eventually he left on his own. The loss was inconsequential, the other dps was also not great though, but at least not 6k dps at ilvl 290 bad.

But do you want to be that guy who plays the game by what “Sims best”, or do you want the joy being able to try different things and experiment at the cost of a 0.1% DPS?

Either way is fine. Personally, I’ll start with the recommended and fine tune from there. But already, I can see which talents I’m going to change depending on what week it is.

I was playing around with my Holy Priest this week. I felt like was struggling with Healing a little, so moved a few talents around to make my AOE heals stronger, but that was at the cost of some Utility. I had dropped Chastise, for Circle of Healing and could have stopped that Murloc running into the other pack of Murlocs. Turns out I didn’t use Circle of Healing as much as I thought I would, so I talented back.

As it turns out, nobody expected me to be talented Chastise and nobody blamed me for not stunning the Murloc. All I have done is just tune to Talents better to my play style.
