It’s your own fault
be nice to others so they will be with you too (peace
I agree, peace to you to lala.
Just gonna point out I met them VIA WoW but did actually meet them and visit often, talk to their friends and family. And again, doesn’t matter where you’re from, it’s ingrained in society as a whole. Still perhaps you should alter your title to something less objectifying if you want people such as myself to take your “I will amend my ways” seriously.
No it hasn’t. What has changed recently is your view. And that is good thing. But saying “it has always been a guy thing” is just wrong and makes many people angry to you. Reason for that is, instead of just saying “oh boy was i wrong” you are trying to make like everyone else in Sweden also was having this strange view. That offends everyone who didn’t, which i would say is most of the Sweden.
When i say a guys thing, i dont mean 100 % of all gamers in sweden are men, i am saying that stereotypically gaming in Sweden has been attributed to guys and males more so then women, by a big majority, and you cannot deny that. Not saying its a good thing, only saying its a thing.
I understood you exactly like you describe and i am denying that. Even you say yourself in earlier post that this view has been on area where you grew in, which by your own words is not presenting traditional swedish views?
Yes it does not, but i still hold the claim that gaming is still a male dominated thing even in Sweden, but no the area i am in is not a traditional swedish suburb.
This is what you said earlier but now it has turned into:
So which one is it? Your area or whole Sweden? Sorry but i was actually on your side at start and felt bad for you getting some hefty words on this thread, but this just makes me think you are trying to stir the pot, annoy swedish people and annoy ladies. And i am starting to doubt if you actually learned anything after all.
There is many people in the world who think gaming is male hobby, and countries with many people who think so. But amongts those countries, i think Sweden has been having one of the lowest amount of people thinking that way. And it has been like that for long time, it has not changed recently.
I think you are confusing with how politics in Sweden is run contra to hobbies. Politics in Sweden might have feminism in it, but the gaming scene often has more men, and steretypically is attributed to men, now this doesnt mean that all gamers are men, far from it, but in a majority style it is. Thats all i am saying. Do you atleast agree to that?
No. I am not talking about Swedish politics. What does this have to do with politics or feminists? I am just saying that if you look for country where there is very little amounts of people thinking “gaming is just hobby for boys”, Sweden is pretty safe bet to take. So just because you thought that way does not mean rest of the Sweden did, and you admitted it yourself in your earlier post. No disrespect to you, just pointing it out.
Im not saying its just a hobby for boys, im saying that its a hobby mostly [Keyword] atributted to boys, thats all i said. The area i grew up in, had that but in much more extremity. But theres no need to go on for longer, i just guess we have to agree to disagree.
What a revelation. Please let us know when you find out how you tie your own shoes or learn how to boil water. I can’t wait!
So true :)) (Sadly or Maybe not)
“Guys who play wow dont date”
I know I just joined Blizzard but i have like 8 years of playing experience on private servers, And its been 3 years since my last date And im totally fine
Wow… SHOCKING!
I mean you haven’t seen any attractive females streaming before? it’s 2019 not the stone age.
Well that’s me but it’s not because I play WoW it’s because I’m rather cynical.
This whole thread reminds me of a negative compliment.
Lust is a sin. All of gods creatures are beautfiul.
A warthog is not as beautiful as a Peacock.
NONE OF THESE ARE CONNECTED.
I introduced my other half to WoW the same day I first bought it many years ago. We’ve both played it ever since, the kids play it and one built her own gaming spec pc to play it and other games on. I know many female wow players, from school age to those that are retired, it isn’t at all unusual. From the OP, you started out with naivety and swiftly moved into being patronising. Well done if you managed to retrieve the situation and let it be a lesson in not making assumptions! lol
