Why everyone is crying about tokens when there is like 90% of bgs having full of bots.
Because it represents the final admission of failure to address the problem. These bots are there to make gold. Not just in BG’s, but everywhere.
And game still full of bugs and “QoL-improvements”.
How does this come that private servers are way better then this so called offical ones ? I feel like im playing some cheap asian mobile game tbh.
At least how I see it is that most people don’t do BGs.
The most popular WOTLK pservers officially sell gold and boosts.
I played on Warmane before WOTLK official servers and never had anyproblems with bots what so ever, i dont care about boost and gold selling if i play against real people and not bots. Sell SM i dont care but get rid of bots.
Private servers don’t need bots because they can just generate gold/characters/gear…
It’s an accumulation of many problems and the WoW token being the last straw.
its just the last nail on the coffin.
what a dead game
Litteraly have been playing all day with bots in my team against premades from ru servers. If this is what blizzard told us so called “True classic experience” then i might quit this guano and play something else.
There are different kinds of gold sellers on private servers.
Those that are working with server owners and pay them money to have gold/items spawned for them - they don’t need bots (but might have some anyways, no reason not to make extra profit).
And there are those that were not allowed to work with server owners (exclusivity clauses, etc.) - they will run your typical bot farms and have those bots banned from time to time.
Because, bots dont invade every game, they invade games which have high demand,
private servers were far more niche and ontop of that several times were admitted to change things up for the better or to simple create fresh experiences.
This ment it likely wasnt a good investment of time for bots,
WoW offical boomed, with retail players included those that are used to monetizied methods for convience. Also blizzard didnt change anything making gold easier.
So bots are born.
The issue is. Goodluck getting rid of them without beating them at their game. They will generate new accounts faster then they can ban, and theie IP will change before u have a hope of banning that either.
U cant get rid of bots unless the community drive them out via not using their services, but for aslong as a audience will facilitate them, they will never leave
They can take the man responsible for the bots coding to court and force them out, but then the next will rise ![]()
U cant just wave ban bots and be done with it. A million more will be created in moments.
You see the thing is… Token ain’t beating them in their own game at least not now. Currently you get between 6-16k gold from token depending on the realm.
That’s 1,25 to 3,3 Euro per 1000 gold. On one of the “digital marketplaces” regardless of the realm the price is about 1,1€ for 1000 gold. It’s really not working.
For the wider context… According to some sources Retail Wow has Estimated Sub count of 129M. On the said Digital Marketplace you’ll find 30k gold selling offers.
Wrath Classic with estimated 28M subs dedicated to it has roughly 4k gold sellers.
And outside of that FFXIV with 45M subs estimated has… 1.8k offers of Gold Selling.
Token brings safety to gold buying, That’s the biggest factor in why it will be way more popular than 3rd party RMT sites.
Now the average player that needs a new weapon enchant who never considered gold buying from a 3rd party because there was a chance they could get banned; can just swipe in-game.
… what?
Borrowed the data from same site “mmo-population”
Since it’s rather hard to gain intel on it because no company gives us solid data anymore.
Also for your previous post…
That player must be very lazy, very stupid or both. Let me tell you a secret as an Enchanter… Unless the enchantment requires rare materials or is by itself rare it’s going to be cheap. Most enchanted scrolls are sold way below the costs of the materials.
bruh
That website’s information is 100% wrong.
So the numbers are lower? Keep in mind the sellers numbers are accurate though. Those were taken directly from one of 4 sites that pay for sponsored links when searching for Gold Sellers
What? That website mmo-population looks like a generic website meant to generate ad revenue That just uses random numbers without real sources.
It says
The Players and Daily login numbers are estimations based on subscriber numbers and online sentiment.
This data is literally not available to anyone outside of Blizzard, And I doubt this random website has some secret link working at Blizzard to provide them with such information.
If Blizzard had 28 million subscribers it would be making Blizzard 4 billion dollars/month and it’s not if you look at their income and profits.
Classic only has like half a million subs and that’s based on monthly raiders who are most of the people still left playing.
And don’t get me started on the 128mil that it claims Retail has, LMFAO
Ok ok. That does paint much grimmer picture though. If Classic has 4k gold sellers on one site, all selling gold for better deal than Token does… How will it even help mitigating their revenue?
