I’m not a pvper but was looking through the bg list tonight and I’m wondering why Tol Barad isnt included in the list?
Wintergrasp is so why not TB?

They implemented Wintergrasp a few years ago as an epic bg, Tol Barad until now not.
Maybe in some more years they bring it back as an epic too, but not in the near future I guess, since they are slow when it comes to BGs and we just got Deephaul recently.
I mean they even added Ashran which was a later expansion before TB??
Yea, started to play actively at the mid/end of cata so I don’t know how popular Tol Barad was back then.
Ashran was quite popular in WoD when I was playing, and if I remember correctly also much asked to implement it as epic BG later on.
Tol barad is just a mini wintergrasp, only difference to my memory was controlling bases as the attacking team rather than breaking a vault door. Vehicles were messy and boring as per as they’re grossly overtuned when hitting players.
I really liked Tol Barad when it was current and it was very popular. It was a bit like Wintergrasp except that people tended to listen as to where to go and what to do. Not sure why people reacted differently there, but it actually meant that there was a good atmosphere and we did, very occasionally, win.
However it was also the place that I realised I wasn’t cut out to be a battleground healer so it was goodbye to Ananda the Disc and hello to Ananda the Shadow which I’ve been ever since (and not regretted for one minute).
I’d love to play Tol Barad in retail, played it a bit on Cataclysm classic and it was quite fun, the only downside is that it’ll be a mininal version as originally it’s supposed to be 80vs80 but in retail that could cause too much delayed lag?
What I’d rather see is Strand of the Ancients, perhaps redesigned it on a epic battleground format being 35 vs 35 instead of 15 vs 15.
I wouldn’t mind if they added Tol, but I’m not the biggest fan of these vehicle based BGs, I played a round of IoC earlier and almost dozed off pressing 1 on the airship. I really hope we get a new EBG with the next expac.
