Tol Barad/Wintergrasp impossible to do

Since there is no queue to join for Tol Barad/Wintergrasp, and the majority of players aren't interested in taking it over for their faction, it's literally impossible to finish it for the small amount of people who would actually like to complete it. I've searched online on wow forums/reddit in the hope of finding something like a discord server, but there is literally no interest. I've read about making a trial character on a second account and server hopping/phasing to one where it is controlled by your own faction but this seems like a ridiculous way to get it done. There should be easier ways like an actual queue for older content like Wintergrasp/Tol Barad so that people can still complete it and get the things they want. How is someone supposed to get wintergrasp achievement done? Or a victory in Tol Barad when it's been controlled by the other faction for weeks already?

In late legion I've done a few of both grouping through the achievements discord. Might worth checking it out

I would do it the way you described, OP: put several alts from the CRZ which are more likely to be controlled by the faction you are\need, invite yourself over, defend and win, blizzard won’t help, so whatever you can do to make it work, you should, if you really want it.

It’s been a while, but can’t they be turned solo nowadays?

I don’t know about Wintergrasp, but Tol Barad is definitely soloable. I know so for certain because I did it repeatedly in my pursuit of the Drake of the West Wind.

In a Blizzcon interview translated from french by Wowhead, developer Jeremy Feasel said Wintergrasp soon will be added to the epic battleground pool :smiley:

Unless you’re with more it’s impossible to capture, cause once you capture one of the three buildings and move on to the next, they can just capture it back.

That is assuming there is anyone there to capture the towers back. Most of the times I have do Tolbarad in Legion I was the only player in the zone.

This varies based on faction/battlegroup/WM balance
