Not a complaint, just sharing my experiences. I’ve been trying Khonsu for a while now and I’m beginning to think that I’m just not good enough for this trial.
Anyone else having the same experience, fighting that brick wall?
I find it very tricky as a frost mage. Maybe I’m just to impatient, trying to weave in a ice lance with FoF and 10 stacks glaciate when I should be dodging his strikes. Been a melee for the most part of WoW since vanilla, I’m personally struggling to bring up the patience to wait for the nuke windows.
Like I said, not complaining, although I did spot what looked like to be some inconsistencies in his attacks where he’d wait a second between attacks normally, and sometimes he doesn’t and catches me off guard. It can still be dodged, but the margin is slimmer.
Anyway, just sharing my experience, think the max I reached is 11 stacks. Anyone else in the same spot? Maybe I’m simply getting to old for this lol.
If ppl have any tips, by all means shoot

My tip is to take a break.
Don’t try to get all 17 stacks in one-sitting because you find yourself rushing the fight and then making a mistake. It took me a few tries to get my sunglasses back in P5 because I’d fall into a routine of expecting a frontal cleave after two side strikes only to run forward in preparation and get hit by a thunderclap instead.
There’s no time limit and the longer the fight goes on the easier it gets; so try not to rush things or get greedy.

I will give you some tips:
- Use world buffs, or at least the buff that gives you 15% run speed.
- If not using wb, put running enchant on feet this will help alot.
- Don’t try to do all 17 in one go, do it in intervals lets say every 4 or so wins.
- Most of the time you need to be in the mid range from the boss, not too close and not to far.
- First 30 wipes are just to learn all possible wipe combos. Most of the time what kills you is that random atack his doing.
- Its not a dps race, if you trying to squeeze one more hit at the expanse of mechanic or your focus than Don’t
- Don’t give up, we all been there. The sunglass are sweet and the necklace is awsome.

You can’t use any bonus move speed for khonzu so no point using pot/wb/enchant. It’s all disabled on HM.

17 flawless victories in a row is too much. It’s not really an enjoyable challenge, just an annoying task to stay hyper-focused for an hour.
Now also consider that any connection issue or lag kills you and wipes your stacks. You cannot just put something like this in an online game.
Sounds like a skill issue
Honestly, it is frustrating but even I managed to pull it off before they nerfed it slightly when they opened it to every class.
It’s just a tactics fight.
- Always be moving towards a safe spot, this way you are always heading towards where you need to be for the slams.
- Make sure you have some way to heal. As a warrior, I took Victory Rush, in the add phase I could heal after each ad kill.
- Assuming you half decent AoE, stick to avoiding damage and attacking konshu. In the ad phase just use AoE (Like whirlwind for Warrior) to kill ads while moving in a circle around him. It is in your best interest to focus on fast kills rather than slowly taking out ads 1 by 1.
Once I had it down, I was getting kill under 60 seconds, hitting konshu the entire time, AoEing ads for Victory Rush healing. Never standing still even for a second.
If you are ranged I think you can just stand in a safe area the entire fight until ads. Warlocks and Boomies probably have it the easiest now.
I hate to say it, but I think it is fine for a game to have skill challenges that not everyone can complete. It took me maybe 45 kills to finally get the 17 in a row. Some people who are way better at the game than me did it much faster and this was back when we only had T2/T2.5 gear.
All rewards are pretty much just cosmetic and it has already had a slight nerf since it was a Warrior only challenge.
