Too many currencies

Seriously, I have no room in my bags for all the various currencies I need for everything!
It has gotten ridiculous.

Please for future expansions can we have less currencies?

or at least give us a vendor who will buy and sell all currencies so we can at least trade them.

Fewer.

But yes, I agree.
Legacy currencies should probably be converted to gold at this point.

They hate our bag space!!!

And yet every expansion they give us bags with 2 more slots… then 16 more things to put in them :dracthyr_uwahh_animated:

The worst was giving us the bag for profession materials then giving us three ranks of materials for nearly all mats.

Yeah, my crafters are constantly overflowing their bag spaces even with a big reagent bag :dracthyr_shrug:

Anything passed the last expansion (BFA and back) all currencies should convert to ā€œlegacy tokenā€ and be earned in the same way but can be spent in any expansion pre Shadowlands.

Only downside is someone will find the easiest way to farm them and everyone will just do that to collect everything.

this crests stacking for nothing. there 2 problem in one. Noone want to go in keys below 16, so new character in keys can’t find their group. And they explode bag for nothing. + zaralek items, like stones, another stones, some else stones and special stones… +items in previous location, and everything of this is currency.

Exactly. I’m not that bothered when I play Classic and I’ve got way less bagspace cause there isn’t nearly as much junk either.

The problem with all this is it’s creating a massive amount of icons to the point where I can barely find anything. Thank goodness for the new search feature. (Although I’d probably just have kept Bagnon, but you know…)

Adibags is good for organising too. I cannot find anything with default UI…

Search function only works if you remember all the names… which I am exeptionally bad at.

I did do a full cleanup a few weeks ago though. Found 3 items in my bags that can turn into mounts!

It does search in some of the text as well.

But yes of course if you don’t know where it is or what’s it’s called you’re in for a bad time. And there’s no way to solve this other than for Blizz to just stop.

Well… I do like random items… classic style.

They added the new currency from the Kalimdor cup, into the currency tab, So they do actually know that tab exists. How about all currencies goes into the currency tab? Strange that they would add those tokens into the currency tab when its just a special event, as most event currencies goes into your bags together with all the other currencies that for some reason is not set to be listed in currency tab.

Having them is not a really big issue for me, but getting them and needing to search on Wowhead one by one to see if I keep them or not.
Of course if you need them for something, you never have all the currencies in that moment so you hoard everything and when you login next time, back to Wowhead you go.

It’s technical limitations. Now currencies technically under the hood support only one use case - buy something from NPC. If anything else should be possible - they have to make it a real item in bag.

For example, they have to make crests a real item, because they are used in craft. I bet it’s the case with some old currencies also, because the currency is used in some mechanics which does not support currencies, e.g. tradable, sellable to vendor for gold, convertible to another currency, etc.

Totally.
Even the ones that go in our Currency tab are too many.

Fewer materials, currencies and similar.
I feel like I have to keep some that says ā€œCrafting Reagentā€ even if I’m not currently leveling that profession and given how many of everything we have now this is just filling up my bags (and banks) so quickly.

There’s another reason too. Crests are capped but can be downgraded, so they needed a way to differentiate between the ones you get from outside sources and the ones you get from capped sources, which is why they come in fragments (Which have the cap associated with them) from some sources but are awarded whole from others (One off quests, downgrading).
