The amount of bugs I’m running into is starting to effect my view of the game in a very negative manner!
The NUMBER 1 ISSUE is the Valor bug from last week; I ended up with 3 toons not being able to get Valor cap! And no retro active fix this week either despite this being BLIZZARD’s MISTAKE and I literally cant do anything but hope and w8 for you guys to fix it which you then decided to not to do… obviously a bad call to make.
Now I’m perma behind and I feel like you guys just dont care. And let me tell you as a gamer I’m not sure how long I want to dedicate my time to this game if THIS is the attitude you guys have… releasing buggy messes and not willing to clean up after your own messes just shows what the current attitude of the company truly is; and it aint good.
Either something is done to address this issue or I will be looking for the next (NON-Blizzard) game. And thats a shame cuz I loved Cata; but this buggy version right now is a spit in the face of the original release.
This is the bug that annoyed me most because it severely hinders my gameplay!
There’s are soooooo many other bugs its silly;
-From the Wintergrasp NPCs still being lvl 80 instead of 85 (which in case you didnt know, highest honor per hour BG)
-Cant see my damn health
-Getting ganked by town guards when ever I port to towns or back through my death-gate (this has been addressed somewhat but still in the game)
-Encountered so many bugged Mobs, bosses and NPCs I’ve lost track
I’ve encountered quite a few more bugs just cant remember them all right now; Anyone that knows of any bugs not mentioned here just tag them in this post please!
Firelands is my all time fav raid and I want all of this to be fixed BEFORE that raid releases because I am NOT going to taint my memories of it with this current version of the game that much is for sure!
A quick question: can anyone, author of the topic or different person, confirm how the Valor cap worked back then? Personally, I can’t remember for sure and while default private projects were of VP cap functioning as it does in Cata classic, private projects are generally a bad measure of how things are SUPPOSED to work (despite Cata classic not being much better, in many regards not even on par with…)…but iirc, the VP cap worked just as it does now. It also makes sense - in WotLK, there was no EoF hard cap, but the rewards were 2x daily + 1x weekly quest, in Cata they moved to weekly hard cap, to allow for some farm if one has 3 hours to play one day and none for the next 4 days (unlike WotLK, which forced people to log in daily) and if they moved to a dynamic cap, basically just “total VP earned cap” later, it seems to me to follow this curve…but iirc, Cata VP cap is supposed to work the way it does.
It doesn’t make a huge difference, but I’ve seen many posts asking to FIX the valor points cap, that this is an OMISSION, a MISTAKE by Blizzard that they fail to CORRECT…but if the VP cap is actually supposed to work as it does (and OG Cata is the measure here, not retail or anything else), the call should be for “some changes,” not fix.
Not saying that such a change would be a bad idea btw…I just don’t like people naming stuff wrongly. There are well enough bugs in Cata classic to put great vengeance and furious anger upon Blizzard while being accurate anyway…
Oh…yeah, that would be frustrating indeed. Still, even if this is the source of all the hate…how much “left behind” do you get in the long run? On the other hand…people don’t seem to care about the long run globally, need everything right here, right now, minmax the fun of every little piece of game there is…and if you find yourself in a guild composed of those people, yeah, you can find yourself called out for missing out on 600 VP despite it not being your fault.
That doesn’t mean that we’re getting what we pay for - in many regards, the quality of Cata classic that we pay for doesn’t even begin to rival the quality of some private projects that are for free. Shame (on Blizz).
you’re wrong because this bug punishes casual players much more than hardcore ones. 359 gear weekly for running 7 dungeons is big. Hardcore ones don’t care about it now already, since only thing needed from it are tier sets
I think ur missing the point; we didnt get to cap Valor because it was BUGGED not because we didnt do dungeons or what ever. The counter of Valor just stopped even if u were not at cap.
imo unacceptable to not fix this issue; even if u have to do it retro-actively and even if that means u have to give every single player that logged on that week for full Valor cap cuz u couldn’t verify everyone! That is a BLIZZARD issue cuz they screwed up and now they’re making their mistake a player issue. You do something like this at work most jobs would have you fired for good reason!
Okay, my bad then - haven’t had the bug myself, nor did possibly any of my guildes…didn’t know this existed. In that case, and disregarding my personal belief that 1600 VP isn’t worth any issues, yes, this should have been fixed immediately and compensated in some form (multiple come to mind, pointless to suggest them all, there are many topics on the matter (none of which will be read by proper authorities anyway).
That’s a matter of opinion…now, several weeks into the expansion, having a 346 ilvl is not as rare as it was directly after launch…and a 359 item is pretty much +1 total ilvl upgrade. The way I see the game, that’s not anything to fuss about…but the way I see the game isn’t shared by most people, apparently, so yeah, I get the point and to a degree agree with it. And yeah, I know there are people with limited time and damn unlucky at loot who might not even have the 346 at this point, ergo those who would find 359 as more substantial upgrade.
