Too much Mastery

Hey guys,

I’ve got a quick question:

I always use AskMr.Robot to figure out which piece of gear is better and I’ve been doing that basically since I started raiding.

Unfortunately I ended up with 23% Mastery and 4% Versatility increase from my gear (I don’t understand these numbers exactly but that’s what’s given on the character page when you look at your stats)

I’ve read a lot that you should stay away from Mastery, so I guess either I got really unlucky with the stats on the ilevel upgrades I got from raiding or AskMr.Robot was wrong and I never should’ve taken said pieces in the first place?

How much impact does this have on my damage?
And is there nothing I can do now than wait to get to replace the items with Mastery stat with higher ilevel items that have versatility?
Since agility is most important, I probably shouldn’t downgrade 5/10 ilevels to get a piece with better stats right?

that’s the damage per 1 point of stat, mastery is lowest.
easily drop 5ilvls for vers/crit if the item has alot of mastery.
