I’m certain there have been plenty of forum posts relating to this.
I have a bunch of old achievements that I need to blast through for some Glory of the… mounts, but I’m too OP. Any advice on how to get these done? Talking about the likes of the Glory of the Hero, Glory of the Cataclysm Hero, etc…
Thank you!
Unequip your gear, you shouldn’t have trouble that way. If you still do, you could do it on a lower level character as well. I’ve done some of the things you mentioned in Legion, and I don’t think I was too “OP” for any of them. Doubt the situations changed that much.

Appreciate the advice, but it doesn’t work. Go in naked, still drops bosses health too low, or defeats them in one swoop. My point is that I would like to do them on this character, so am looking for advice on how to do so. Maybe it’s about time I look into dicsord…****
There’s nothing you can do, since as far as I am concerned there are no items that weaken your character. Since you’re playing a melee class, your fists will always deal a certain amount of damage, which is probably the problem here. Playing a ranged/caster would fix that particular issue.
You can also give the toy called “Soft foam sword” a try, but that doesn’t work in raids/instances. Basically injures the enemies without killing them.

Unequip gear - fully naked don’t be shy.
Also get Rez sickness if necessary.
Buy soft foam sword(toy) from dalaran for few quests like “bring mobs to 20% hp and then use item on it.”
There is also one engineering item which does minor damage like 80-100 per sec at any level. I forgot the name but I have used in to get ungoro crater dinosaur mount. (15-20 days grind).
If some bosses/mobs can’t hit you then make spam macro of “/sit” and turn your back towards him.
That’s all you need I think.

What Keyur said. Haven’t failed with those tools yet. All achievements i’ve done from old raids has been done on lvl 110 or higher.
Have to say, I have been able to successfully get through a number of older achievements since starting this post. Unfortunately, the soft foam sword is useless as it can’t be used in instances, but I’ve managed to get through most of them alright either way.
Have hit a stumbling block yesterday though - went to Stormstout Brewery to complete Keep Rollin’ Rollin’ Rollin’ achievement, with no luck… HC difficulty, all gear stripped, not even physically hitting the boss… Jumped on a barrel, and it one-shot the boss
Keeping me from completing the Glory of the Pandaria Hero achi
You should try using the Toy Foam Sword toy.
It allows you to get all trivial mobs to 10% HP - I haven’t tried it in raid encounters so I’m unsure there.
I havent done it with the new scaling but if your one-shotting it not even rez sickness will help im afraid.
Even if it lowered the damage under the necessary to do 20 hits you’ll had to wait out the stacking debuff between each one and rez sickness would be long gone by then.
I’d say just nag some low level to join and do it for you, it will be fast and easy.
I’d be happy to help but dont have any alliance character around those levels

Yeah it’s kinda unscaled…
What I did for that AP - bring lvl 90ish friend. Protect him and he will do barrel job for you

Soft Foam Toy Sword is not usable in Dungeon or Raid instances… Already explored that avenue with no joy
If you have a healer, maybe you can group up with a lower level?
I haven’t tried it, just saying.

Would this actually work? Or are you joking… Hopefully the former, and I can give it a try!
For MoP stuff there’s also Timewalking if all else fails.
Transmog as John J. Keeshan.
it’s an MMO find someone to help you do them many people have low lvl alts that they haven’t gotten to max yet and can help you
Of course this can be done - I’m in a guild and also play with my gf. Just looking for a way to get older achievements done without the need of inconveniencing others. Obviously, there are achievements that have requirements for full parties or raid groups, but where this isn’t a requirement, it would be nice to be able to solo them. Especially if there are glory achievements, and not just to add to the achievement points total.
Thanks for the suggestion though.
