Hey there. I would like to set a comment on the current game in arenas.
Currently sitting in top 16 Rshaman in whole EU in RSS bracket, and 14 years of Rshaman experience I think atleast I can share some frustration, and thoughs that I am having currently. ALSO since there is almost no other healers doing so.
To start of with, I think the game pace is about good. It’s not as bursty as Dragonlands, and it’s not as slow as Cata.
With that being said, I think sometimes the dmg is just unhealble.
For instance you had Fury war and Feral stomping in on my Hunt.
I had to pre double earthen, tide, ascendance aura mastery spam surging, then link into a wall on my self and the new wall totem so I wouln’t get focused/swapped in a bad positioning.
Then I went to hard cast another surge, I juked the Feral’s kick, so I could free cast, but nope, the hunter turtle’d but died to bleeds, in just about the same global. I used every CD i had in the game.
Next round it was the same, but reversed into war vs hunt.
I was doing about 1 - 1.3 mil HPS and that was the first minute of the game.
Even tho I do everything to maybe stop one of the DPS with hex, root, static grap him away, lasso…
Doesn’t matter. The dmg is just so high when combining a few classes, and that only maybe pres can heal through the insane DPS. Maybe disc aswell.
It is obivious pres and disc are way above every other healer, but can you please for the love of god look into the healing output?
Atm I am having some partly fun, other than the typical RSS brainrot.
But I really think that healing can be quite miserable at the momment, if you are not playing the FOTM.
Why is it that over 1800 in Rss there is roughly 14 times as much discs than Rshamans? 7 times Pres than Rshamans? And Rshaman should be A Tier, but even though Hpala is called for the worst healer, maybe shared with MW there are almost double as much Hpalas in said bracket.
disc is always the most popular healer.Disc is not way above anything.Disc has zero cc and interrupts.All healers that dominated df with their insane cc and utility are geting are Reality check thats all.your delusional if you think disc is way above rsham and rdruid.Its actually really close to all healers besides Pres.Disc is tuned optimally since they dont have a toolkit.Go and play with your totems.

roughly 20 % of all the Challenger 2 players (1600 cr, 0.0212 % of accounts) have also reached Rival I (1800cr, 0.0039 % accounts), any bracket. Similarly, 1 % of Ch2 players (0.0002 %) have reached Duelist. For reference, Duelist and AOTC Ansurek are basically identical numbers of players, so you can imagine how borderline impossible Duelist, which is the next stop after Rival, currently is, considering this is a PvE-focused game and only 0.0003 % of all accounts have killed HC Ansurek yet. Rival II (you get enchant here) is 0.0008 btw.
According to check-pvp,
there are 29 Rshamans above 1800 cr, and 343 Dpriests above 1800 cr,
and 149 Prevokers above 1800 cr.
That’s 11.82x more Disc priests over Rshamans, and 5.13x more Prevokers, in RSS. So, that’s why. Almost nobody is duelist, let alone Elite, Rival I is actually a big deal currently, because you’re probably at around top 2-3 % of all performers, therefore you are bound to be facing metaslaves every game.
Yes every season we have different metas. It’s not a secret that we have better Elementals and R Druids. While they have better R Shamans and Shadow Priests. Good example season 3 of DF. We barely had any high rated Moonkins and they were saying that it’s Moonkin meta.
So it means different meta. What is too hard to understand for you? They judge meta based on their players and we judge on ours. Watch Cdew when he said that he practiced against NA RMPs and got 3:0 by Whaazz RMP as it’s 2 levels above. If you had to make a tierlist based on NA you wouldn’t ever rate RMP as high as if you played against Whaazz.
Thanks for sharing this, I havent played high enough this season to see unhealable damage just yet (Only played 10 games of Blitz) but i agree the damage output is was more fun than SL & DF was. Losing your team mates in a global wasent fun in any way or form. Was going to level my resto shammy next but the cost of gear and gem slots makes the game pretty alt unfriendly atm, And dont even get me started on crafted pvp epics
The issue with R Shaman is that instead of healing you are being annoying with Lasso, Static Field Totem and Kicks. R Shaman bearly heals compared to meta healers.
Disc and Pres are absolutely overtuned and anyone who denies it absolutely lost his mind. Arguments about the toolkit have no relevancy as long as other healers get oom 3x faster and heal way less.
